hair slightly damp, the black locks framed jeongguk's face as he rushed towards taehyung. he had light makeup on, judging by the way his cheeks seemed redder than usual and how his lips shined. there was a hint of highlighter on his cheeks and nose but taehyung guessed it was just his blush. there was no way jeongguk would dress up for him, he liked to think jeongguk was dressed for him like that. to impress him. it was just delusional of him to think like that. but taehyung had his peace.

oh but he was. jeongguk was dressed well. all for taehyung but he didn't need to know that. earrings dangled from his ears and hit against his neck with each step he took, his hair bouncing on the expanse of his head. he had put on a black shirt with white dots on it. paired with black skinny jeans that made his godly legs and cute ass stand out. lastly, he paired them with platform stomper boots, making him look taller than what taehyung had seen him in the party. it made him look cute, honestly. (taehyung's words not mine)

"hi, sorry i'm late." jeongguk apologised once he reached taehyung. "i didn't mean to. it's just that the thought slipped my mind and i fell asleep in the afternoon while bathing. i came out just now." he grinned sheepishly.

"oh?" taehyung laughed. "that's cute. do you want to go?"

"yeah, let's go." jeongguk grinned despite the blush that creeped up his cheeks.

"so, i was planning to go to the summer fair and then, we can have dinner?" taehyung asked. "if that's alright with you. is there anything you want to do?"

"no. i'll let you know if there's anything, though." taehyung hummed.

"i actually rented a car for us." taehyung confessed as he led jeongguk to a black convertible car. jeongguk held back a gasp as he eyed the car.

"you didn't have to." he said. "thank you so much."

"i remember you told me you hated cabs. and i wanted you to be comfortable." it was stupid, honestly. he did so much for jeongguk when they didn't even know each other for long. but taehyung liked to think there would be a good result. even if they didn't get to be together, there would be memories. pretty memories.

"let's go?" jeongguk asked.

taehyung nodded and held open the door to the passenger's seat for jeongguk. jeongguk grinned up at him and got in and taehyung closed the door. he walked to the drivers seat and got in himself.

"do you know where the fair is?" jeongguk asked.

"well, yeah. don't worry about it. it's about a half an hour away from here so you should get comfortable."

"okay." jeongguk nodded and leaned back on his seat, as taehyung started the car.

"tae," he called out and taehyung hummed, looking over at him. but his breath hitched when jeongguk leaned over.

"w-what?" he asked, looking up at him with wide eyes as his cheeks turned a crimson shade. jeongguk grabbed a hold of his seatbelt and clicked it in for him.

"your seatbelt." he said. taehyung swore he saw him smirk but it was quickly replaced by an innocent smile. taehyung cleared his throat and started the car while jeongguk put on his seatbelt.

the drive to the fair was silent. they didn't talk much, too immersed to look at the beautiful views paris offered.

about 20 minutes into the ride and jeongguk's stomach grumbled. he put a hand over his stomach, glancing at taehyung who was biting back a smile.

taehyung pulled over to a side and got down. "wait a minute," he said. "i'll be back."

"where are you-" but taehyung already left. jeongguk shrugged and pulled out his mobile, seeing lisa asking him if the date was going okay.
