Sebastian POV

Holy shit.

Elena is about to have my baby.

I shouldn't be panicking this much but I am. Lina carries Caterina so I could hold onto Elena.

"You're not supposed to be out yet." Elena groans and shouts. "We had a whole damn gender party for you." She laughs.

"Elena, calm down." I say to her and keep rubbing her back.

"It hurts!" She cries and breathes heavier.

"We're here." Stefano says and gets out of the car and runs to get a wheelchair.

"Careful." I tell Elena as I help her out of the car and she winces in pain as she sits down on the wheelchair.

I push her into the hospital and the nurses come rushing towards us. I don't let go of Elena's hand as they get her ready and they give her injections to ease the pain.

Elena is laying on her side and her belly is supported with a pillow beneath it. She holds my hand and I rest my chin on my forearm on the frame of the bed and look at her and she gives me a faint smile and blinks slowly.

She's been like this for three hours since we've been here and she's only a few centimetres dilated.

"Sebastian?" Elena's voice cracks.

"Yes, beautiful."

"I love you." She says dizzily and I laugh.

"I love you too." I kiss her lips gently.

"Where's Cat?" She asks me.

"With Lina. I'll bring her." I try to let go of her hand and she doesn't let go of me.

"Don't leave me." She mumbles and I kiss her knuckles.

"Never." I smile and sit back down again and message Lina to bring Caterina into the room.

"Hi." Lina walks in with Stefano behind her. "She was asleep and Andrea was holding her." She whispers.

"Elena." Stefano whispers to his sister. "How are you?" He rubs her arm and she groans.
Lina passes Caterina to me and I place her on the bed beside Elena.

"Mamma." She mumbles and Elena strokes her curls. Caterina looks up at me and her lip quivers.

"Mamma's ok. She's about to have your sibling." I tickle her and she grins. "She's awake, angel." I tell her and Elena groans again.

"How's she doing?" Dr Diaz walks in and asks.

"She's in a lot of pain." I tell her and Elena groans and tears stream down her face.

"Let's have a look." She says and sits on the chair at the end of the bed. "Elena, sweetheart, I need to have a look."

"Baby, you need to lay on your back." I kiss her temple and say to her and she winces as I help her lay back.

"Ok, she's fully dilated. Elena, I need you to push." Diaz says and she tells me to hold her hand.

Stefano holds her other hand beside her and Elena pushes with all her strength and lets out an agonising scream.

Lina quickly takes Caterina out of the room and away from Elena's cries.

"You're doing great. Just keep pushing." Dr Diaz coaches her and Elena cries and squeezes the death out of my hand.
