The cold breeze brushes my skin as I open my eyes. The sunlight beams through the glass door. Jasmine is snuggled up on top of me with one arm around my neck and her face tucked under my chin. "Jasmine." I whisper, brushing her hair away from her face. She blinks and moans as she lifts her head. Her face is slightly puffy, but she still looks beautiful. "Morning."

"Morning." She mumbles and looks up at me.

"How did you sleep?" I ask her, she takes the bedsheet and wraps it around her.

"Like a baby."

"Were you not cold?" I laugh.

"We were huddled together. You're like my own personal heater." She yawns.

"You're very welcome."

"I bought toothpaste and a change of clothes."

"Cause you knew we would end up without our own by the end of the night." I smirk.

"I hate you." She laughs.

"Feelings not fucking mutual." We freshen up and change into some new clothes. Jasmine wobbles as she sits back on the bed. "Was I too hard?" I joke, tipping her chin up. She slaps my cheek playfully and laughs.

"Yes, but don't apologise. I really can't be bothered to walk." She side eyes me.

"Get on my back."

"What? Vincenzo, I am not a child." She gapes.

"Then let's walk." She narrows her eyes at me and I step back.

"Ok, ok! Wait." She stands up and jumps onto my back, wrapping her legs around my hips and wrapping her arms around my neck. I take our stuff and walk out to the car. We arrive just in time for breakfast and everyone is in the kitchen sitting around.

"Finally!" Antonio shouts.

"I made pancakes!" Jasmine's mom smiles as she waves the spatula around. Lina saunters over to Jasmine's side.

"You're limping." She whispers. "You both need to shower, you smell like sex and... nature." She pushes us both. We go back up and shower and get into new clothes again. I put on my shirt and button it up. Jasmine sits on her bed, stretching her arms up.

"Hey, you alright?"

"I'm fine." She stands up, but I see her limp again.

"You're still limping."

"It's nothing, Vincenzo. Let's just go downstairs." She takes another step and winces.

"That's not nothing. Sit down, Jasmine."

"It's honestly fine." She laughs off. But I lightly grab her arm until she faces me.

"I wasn't asking." She sits on the bed and I crouch down in front of her. I slip off her shoe and see a bruise on her ankle. "Did I do this?" I didn't see this last night, maybe because there were only candles lighting up the tent.
