Interview day

___

August coughed, his eyes watering as the hairspray hit his face. "Sorry, love." The pink haired woman in front of him said, continuing to spray his hair as if nothing happened. August closed his eyes, and kept his mouth shut, letting his prep team work on him, to prepare him for the upcoming interview. One which he did so not look forward to, at all.

The door to August's dressing room opened and Jerome strudded inside. A bright smile on his dark make-up painted face as he looked at his prep team and August.

"Good morning!" He smiled cheerfully, clapping his hands together. He nodded at Blight, who sat in a chair in the corner of the room, reading a magazine, before turning his attention back to August. "Alright, August, are you ready to see your outfit for tonight?"

Jerome pulled the rack with the black bag, that had August's attention since it first entered the room, closer to him, as he walked towards August. The styling team stepped away from August when Jerome joined. Giving the stylist room to inspect their work

"It's a bit more classic, with a few small extras I have added." He put his fingers on the zipper, but turned to August before opening it. "You're gonna love it!"

Jerome pulled the zipper of the bag down, pulling the bag completely off the suit, revealing it to the boy. Augusts eyes wandered over the black satin, to the golden accents on the shoulder, as well as flowery looking accents coming from the neckline to the end of the shoulder. Small lines on the wrists repeated the colour. The slacks were in the same fabric, with a golden line on the outside, twirling in two thin lines graciously down to the end.

August is suprised at the outfit. Surpised that he didn't totally despite it, and that it didn't look like a unicorn got sick and had nowhere else to throw up on. August looked from the outfit, to the stylist, who stared him down expectantly. "So, what do you think?"

"I like it." August answered nodding, proudly for not lying, giving Jerome a small smile. More he couldn't bring up, as a sick feeling slowly rose in his stomach. Just one more step closer to the arena, he thought.

The thought of the upcoming interview brought him no joy, either. He was just glad that he wasn't Harlow. Because from what he had heard, she had to go through severe training about how to sit, speak and even walk properly. August was only told to play the quiet, cool kinda guy. Which in his opinion is total crap, seeing as he doesn't even know what cool was supposed to be.

He was never cool, or popular or even social, he was more of the guy who was just there. Had some school friends, people he worked with, but no one he really hung out with. August wasn't sure if his acting skills were advanced enough to pretent to be cool, so he decideded to chuck a bunch of caffeine before the interview to make him a bit more loose and talkative. He really hoped that that would help.

Jerome pulled him out of his thoughts when he grabbed the suit off the hanger and told August to put it on.

After August was suited up, Jerome started to pull on the clothes, pulling the sleeves to the right length. Fastening the bow tie he had put on, around the neck of the white button up underneath the black and gold suit jacket, giving it a bit of contrast. Jerome then took a few steps back, stepping away from August to look at him and his artwork. "You look amazing, hun!"
