Chapter 4: He's... So Gone

Mikasa's POV
When I woke up he wasn't here anymore. He probably left because it was 11:00 PM. I drifted into a deep sleep again.

-NEXT MORNING-
I woke up with Captain Levi in the room.

"Get ready Ackerman, we're going on a mission."

After he left I put on my suit and my gear. I went outside where Eren was waiting with Armin and Connie.

"Let's go." Eren said while getting on his horse.

We made our way in a deep forest. It was a Autumn so all around us were brown leaves falling on the cold September ground. Eren was leading. He was in front, of me on the left and for Armin on the right. Connie was behind me and Armin. A loud growl echoed trough the whole area. Titans. Again. 20m Titan. We couldn't bring down a 20m Titan that easily.

"Go on. I'm going to get rid of it. Take my horse."

He flew off it and made his way to it's neck. He swiftly moved his blades into the titan's nape. It was a clean cut. Deep enough to kill the Titan. He flew back to his horse and we went deeper into the forest.

"Good job." I said.

"Thanks."

I love Eren so much that it hurts my heart when I'm not near him.

Two hours passed by when we heard hundreds of growls. HUNDREDS. There were hundreds of Titans around us. We each got of our horses and sat on branches of a tree when we saw a yellow light hit the ground. Eren shifted. Great.

He started beating up Titans and I shoot the black fume in the air, letting the others know we're in danger. Levi and the rest came shortly helping us with the Titans. We got further into the forest, letting Eren kill the rest of the Titans in that area. When we got back, Eren was getting out of the titan's corpse. He wasn't moving. I mean really not. Levi went to him and remained shocked from how much blood was around.

I ran to him hugged him, and checked his pulse. His heart wasn't... It was a slow, unsure pulse. He is exhausted. I bet. Wet tears made their way to my eyes. I held him tight next to me until Levi dragged me out of his hold.

We put him on my warm cape, with his cape on his chest. I laid down with him on the cold wood while we were getting back in Wall Maria. I fell asleep.

I woke up inside Wall Maria with people asking questions. I quickly took Eren to a hospital and left him there. I kissed his forehead and left.

-AFTER 2 DAYS-
He still didn't wake up... It my fault I left him all alone. I'm a failure....

-AFTER 2 DAYS-
It's been 4 days and Eren didn't wake up... No it can't be.. I rushed to his room and held tight onto him.

I'm so tired of being here, suppressed by all my childish fears...
And if you have to leave, I wish that you would just leave,

These wounds won't seem to HEAL,

"Quite a song you have there, Mikasa." Armin said.

"Yeah, thanks..." I said with puffy eyes.

"He's alright. He is like.. Almost immortal!" he said laughing.

"I never saw him like this Armin.. It's bad." I said.

I then laid next to him, resting my head on his chest. I miss you Eren. Come back. Don't die on me, don't you dare.

I held onto him until I heard a slow pound of his heart. Yes! I hugged him tighter and hung on. His heart was beating fast and I knew he finally was awake. He suddenly got up on his bed looking around just like he escaped a nightmare.

A white fume was leaving his body, I then realized he was finally healing.

"Eren I love you, I love you, I love you!" I said hugging him tight.

"I love you too." he said with his voice cracking up a bit.

"Don't you dare do that again! Oh my God I nearly lost you.." I said crying.

He shutted up, rubbing my waist. He placed me on his lap and we cuddled for a couple of minutes until we went to our dorm. We had school tomorrow so we had to be ready. We also decided to share a dorm so we can stay together.

We laid in our bed and held tight on each other. I never want to let go. I put my index finger on his nose, while I giggled. He suddenly started to suck on my neck, creating a hickey. After more fluff we fell asleep.

-MORNING-
Eren's POV
Today me, Mikasa, Sasha, Connie, Jean and Levi have 3D maneuver gear practice.

Mikasa's POV
I got up from the bed and dressed in my uniform and put on my 3D maneuver gear. Then, I saw 3 big hickeys on my neck.

"Eren!!" I yelled.

"Whaaaat." he said on a sleepy tone.

"Look what've you done." I showed him the hickeys.

"Aww c'mon now you can't be mad at me about it." he said trying to kiss me but I pulled him away.

Nah-ah Eren.

"Look, put the scarf on and no one will see the hickeys." he said as he wrapped the red scarf around me.

"Genius." I whispered and kissed him. "Now dress up, we don't want to be late."

-15 MINUTES LATER-
"Sorry we are late" we both said in unison.

"Why come this late?" Jean asked annoyingly.

Then we remembered last night and I blushed so hard that I had to use my scarf so no one sees.

"3D maneuver gear is hard to put" I said.

"Alright brats it's time since you got here, to start the lesson." said Levi.

"Yes, Corporal." we all said.

-AFTER TRAINING OUTSIDE-
"Wow today we really did something." Connie said.

"Yup. Anyone have something to eat?" Sasha asked.

"Nope." I said.

"What do you guys think about the--" Jean wanted to say but then the wind took off my scarf.

Shit.

I ran after my scarf and put it on fast. The 4 seconds I was gone Eren and Jean were beating each other up.

"Stop!" I shouted.

Eren's POV
Jean punched me in the face,

"What the hell Jean??" I yelled.

"This was for leaving hickeys on Mikasa's perfect skin!"

"Oh fuck off" I threw him on the ground beating him up.

"Stop!" Mikasa yelled desperately.

We both turned our heads and looked at her. Until Corporal Rivaille made his way to us.

He kicked both of us in the face.

"Why did this fight start?" he asked.

"Sir, it was just an accident." they all said.

"Alright. You do one more stupid thing and I swear you won't have any arms left to beat each other with."

"Crap..." both of us whispered.
