Chapter 7: Captain

Eren's POV
"I win and I get to hug Mikasa in front of you this whole week." I said laughing in Jean's face.

"Fuck you, you would hug her anyways when you want." Jean said frowning. "Damn Jäger, I'm jealous on you." he shouted.

"Why?!" I shouted.

"Damn, you're always the hero, you're humanity's last hope with Mikasa and Levi! I'm just some guy trying to do something to prove you I can do better than you! That's why I'm jealous on you! God, you don't even see!" he yelled.

"Jean, I wish you don't ever fall in love with someone, wanna know why? Because when you love someone in this cruel world, they take it away. I nearly lost Mikasa not once, TWICE." I whisper shouted at him.

"You have a perfect life, you don't even understand." Jean said beyond furious.

"And hey horseface, Mikasa's mine." I said trough gritted teeth.

"You wanna bet little Titan shit?" he said spitting.

"Titans don't shit, dumbass." I said rolling my eyes then making my way to the Titans again.

I ran to a 12m one an fastly cut into the arm of the Titan, to go to the nape. I wanted to show Jean that I can kill him in one second if I wanted to. Jean was red, and fume was leaving his ears. Let's see horsey.

Jean suddenly punched me in the face and blood was coming from my nose. I opened my eyes, got up, and kicked Jean in the balls, thet made him bend over and I used my knee to kick him in the face.

"Ooww." he said falling to the ground.

"You can't take me, horseface." I said laughing then spit blood.

Titans were getting closer and closer.

"Come on, let's go! Too many Titans are making their way here!" Captain Levi said.

I quickly took Mikasa in my arms and got on my horse. When we were back I quickly put Mikasa in our bed, covered her and wrapped her scarf tighter around her. I kissed her forehead and left. I went to captain Levi's room because he wanted to see his quad.

I went there and Sasha, Connie,Krista, Armin and Jean were already there. Jean had a huge bruise on his cheek that was all bloody, and a bruise on his eye that it was purple. Krista suddenly moved next to me, now I was standing between her and Jean, great.

"I wanted to announce you brats that," he looks back at Hanji then smiled. " I going to be a dad."

Everybody was whispering and all cheery. Levi was going to have a baby? Damn another Levi running around would kill me.

"I will leave the Survey Corps for 9 months, so I can stay with Hanji, and I want to announce that I've made my decision about who to be the next captain." he said smirking slightly, he was for the first time probably.

"It's probably me!" everybody whispered.

I was just standing there, waiting for an answer.

"Eren, you will be the captain."

Everybody started cheering but Jean. Everything came out of the blue, I was suddenly captain and I didn't know what to do.

"But--"

"No buts Eren, you have showed me that you can be responsible and much more mature than five years ago. Now I'm going to leave, I'll see you around." he said then leaving.

"Man you're now captain!"

"Yes now go to work brats." I said on a serious tone.

"What?" everybody said.

"Just kidding." I said laughing.

"Phew." Sasha said "Now can I have some potatoes?"

"Yeah sure....." I said making my way to the dorm.

I opened the door to see a sleeping Mikasa on the ground with the blanket messed up. I put her on the bed, I get near her and cover the both of us. After maybe two hours I hear a knock on the door. I lazily got up and opened the door.

"Captain Eren, Erwin wants to see you."

"Please don't call me that Sasha.. Yeah I'll come in 5 minutes." I said putting my hand on my face trying to wake up.

I closed the door hardly, that woke Mikasa up.

"Eren how long have I been asleep?"

"I think the whole day.." I said with my hand still on my face.

"Oh what happened today."

"You kind of missed out.. Captain Levi made me captain because Hanji is pregnant." I said slowly. "Now I have to go to meet Erwin." I said putting my jacket on.

"Wow. Well good luck Captain Eren." when she said that I think I nearly melted.

"Yeah, don't call me that." I said with a sleepy smile.

I went down the hall and made left to Erwin's office.

"How's it to be captain?"

"Yeah, what did you say? Sorry I'm kind of sleepy I just woke up 10 minutes ago."

"So, Eren, we thought about a new expedition, in the 7th forest." he said fastly.

"Yeah, I guess it's a good idea."

"Ok so is arranged, we could do it tomorrow." Erwin said.

I then realized many lives will be lost tomorrow. I'm scared, I'm scared not for me, for Mikasa, for Armin, for Connie... I guess this is how you well when you are a squad leader. You are responsible for deaths, not that I was not before.

"Yeah, alright. I'll go announce the others." I said getting up from my sit.

I walked over to the dining hall were everyone was and I spoke up

"Tomorrow we'll have an expedition in 7th forest. Be prepared, please don't lose you're shit. We'll leave at 8 am in the morning. Thanks." I said than went back into the dorm.

"How was it?" Mikasa asked curious.

"Interesting." I said yawning.

"Let's do something! I'm full of energy."

"Well Captain Eren wants to sleep so good night." I said making her giggle.

I laid on the bed and closed my eyes. Mikasa then said something but I drifted into a deep sleep.
