Chapter 15: Lips Sealed

Mia's POV
I suddenly was on my horse riding back to the walls. I look around and see people getting eaten by second. I then see Sam getting up his horse and tries to cut the Titan's nape but gets caught by a hand of a Titan. I quickly get up my horse but get slammed on to the ground by the other Titan's hand. My vision starts to blurry as I see the Titan open it's mouth and pushes Sam into it. I cry silently, my lungs couldn't take air in anymore.

I get up from my bed sweat dripping down my forehead as I cry loudly. I breath hardly as I feel a hand on my shoulder.

"Mia, what the hell happened? Damn it its two in the morning!" Sam said with a sleepy voice.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry... Sorry..." I say as lay on the bed again.

"No I didn't want you to feel like that, just what happened..?"

"Just a nightmare...." I say breathless. "I'll kill them all! I am going to kill them all! I'm going to eat their families!" I said laughing evilly.

"Mia, are you insane? What are you talking about?"

I then get back to reality. I really am insane. I shook my head and stare there watching my thumbs.

"Mia--"

"Sam, I am insane, I really need help." I said playing with my thumbs.

"No you don't it's just... Just sometimes you get lost but it's...not that."

Then suddenly a loud sound came from outside as people were slammed into buildings by a raging wind. I then open my eyes and see a huge hole in the wall. Oh my God. How could that happen?

"What the hell?" Sam said getting up and seeing the hole. "Bullshit." he says getting his maneuver gear.

I quickly put on the green large top my dad used to wear, grey jeans and my maneuver gear. After we both dressed we went outside to see what's going on. Thousands... Thousand of people were getting eaten. I then see my mom and my dad flying over to me.

"Mia get out of here things are going to get messy." Dad said

"No! I need to help you! I won't stay here and watch people die!" I shouted

"Hon--"

"No!!" I said while my eyes got a glowing yellow.

My dad growled and dragged me on the porch of me and Sam's room. He tried to get me in and lock me but I flew fastly away. I fly far far away. When I bump into Sam.

"Cadet Jäger, move 31."

As he said that, I knew what to do. We both spinned in the same time as he cut one leg of a Titan and I the other. The Titan fell down as I climb on it. I slowly cut the nape of it with my blade. I see a yellow lightning hit the ground and I knew dad or Max turned into a Titan.

Then, suddenly, something weird happened.

'Hey Mia, where are you?' Max said trough my mind.

'What's this?'

'This is the Titan mind-link! Don't you know about it?'

'Heck no I don't! Can you communicate with human too through this link?'

'You can tell them something but they can't answer back.'

'Well... Nice I guess.' I said thinking a little. 'Did you shift?'

'No, I thought you did.'

'Then it's my dad.'

'Your dad can shift too? Cool.'

'Can you come here? It's a yellowish roof and I'm here with Sam.'

'Coming.'

Sam's POV
As she took down the Titan her eyes suddenly got yellow and lines appeared on her cheekbones. I shook her but she wouldn't budge. I try to budge her until I got tired.

She just stays there staring into space with her eyes wide open. I called her dad, he's also a Titan-shifter right? He may know what happened to Mia.

"What's the problem Sam?"

"Look." I say pointing to Mia.

He looked scared and worried, like he never saw that. He looked closer and tried to shook her but she wouldn't budge, again.

"What the hell?" he cursed under his breath.

Suddenly she fell to the ground closing her eyes. And breathing heavily.

"What the heck happened?"

"I mind-linked! It's so awesome!"

"What's that?" I asked curious.

"It's like Titans can talk between them, it's awesome!"

"Yeah but you scared us. Damn." I said.

"How?"

"We'll explain you that on the way home."

Mia's POV
"Dad, I'm not going home! I can fight!" I said flying away with Sam chasing after me.

I ran on roofs, flew and grappled my hook anywhere possible to stop Sam following after me. I stopped my maneuver gear and bit my hand. Showtime.

I was a 16m Titan, I wasn't too big thought. I see a 9m Titan coming for me and I kicked it into the wall. Oops. Hehe, well,
it didn't break at least. I see a 14m Titan and I punch the heck out of it. I take down... I think 40 Titans, then I fall exhausted to the ground. I get out of the Titan body when I see Sam rushing to me. He hugged me tight and I just rested my head on the crook of his neck.

"Where's...Dad?" I mumbled exhausted.

"He just sealed the wall. He is now taking care of the rest of the Titans."

"I need" I inhale air hardly "to... help..." I said coughing hardly, nearly exhaling my lungs out.

I was exhausted, I couldn't even breathe properly, put alone talking. Sam grabbed me by the shoulders and dragged me fully outside of the Titan body. He carried me bridal style, on a roof. I then blacked out.

Sam's POV
I saw her close her eyes and shouted.

"Mia, Mia keep your eyes open!" I say desperately.

I see Tara and Alex around and I make them a sign to come here.

"Fucking take care of Mia, Tara. Alex you come with me." I say flying away with Alex

I then turn around and look at Mia's body staying still on the roof. I turn my head around to see an 19m Titan with blonde hair and blue eyes, fighting with Titans. It had no skin, just the muscles were visible and some bones. It was Max. Max fucking Leonhardt.
