Chapter 9

Everyone are so busy with their task...it was like a festival with all the decors and food laid out in the table. All of the men were dressed up. But despite the commotion in the back the boys have noticed the sparkling one beside them, who was grinning from ear to ear.

"Oy Lix, you better wipe that expression on your face before boss comes." It was Lewis who called him out, but the boy ignored them "This kid!" The others just laughed from the silliness. Seriously everyone already knew how the kid really look up to their boss.
But a few of the men hates this fact, specially someone who is now coming in.

"Chris-hyung is everything in order?" Sky asked and Chris nodded his head while the others try to stay calm, specially Peter who is now looking down, avoiding the man's gaze.

"Peter, I would like to talk with you..." He said and walked away. Peter surely was nervous as hell that he wanted to bring Lix as well, but he knew how much the kid looked forward to seeing the boss again.

"Excuse me guys..." He smiled but the others knew how scared he was....

He can still recall that painful moment. The words the older left him, causing wounds to his heart.

Finally, as they have gone somewhere secluded Peter still can't look at the other's eyes. "Peter, the boss wanted to have the record of Lix's growth so please do prepare it as soon as possible and please don't let other know about the report, knowing that some of the men dislike him for a reason."

"Y-yes hyung..."

And there goes Sky running off somewhere leaving Peter who's legs almost gave up and could have fainted again from the intense talk although it only lasted a minute.

It's been 3 months and Sky has already admitted and told him that he doesn't like him at all, and hoping for him to move on. But how can he move on after knowing that after he fainted, it was him who took care of him for the whole time he was unconscious. He fell even deeper than before.

Meanwhile as the others are chattering here and there, someone came in and announced the arrival of the boss...

"He's coming!"

Everyone stood in line, awaiting for their beloved boss, the atmosphere was growing hotter as seconds passes. The gigantic door opened, and revealed the same red hair, who seems to have grown taller a bit and muscular than before.

Like a king in some fantasy world he stopped in front of them and smiled.

For Lix everything around him stopped, frozen and cold like ice, and in front him is the raging fire lighting up his night. For him he was beautiful like a phoenix rising.

"Welcome back boss!"

"Thanks! No need for more formalities, let's enjoy the evening *looks at Lix* shall we?"

And everyone cheered as they started the fun night. The other men have went towards the boss and greeted him, asked him questions, of how he was. Lix wanted to greet him as well but suddenly...

"Boss, how were you? Did you receive the food I sent?" It was Sky who asked him questions.

"Yes I did, thanks by the way Sky!" Sam said as he pat his head, the usual thing the older does to the other, but unlike Sam, Lix saw something he wasn't supposed to, right?

The Sky he knew was cold and bossy, is definitely blushing. It wasn't just him who noticed, but Peter did as well.

"Thank you boss, please enjoy the small preparation. Everyone did their best for you."

"I know and I'm proud of all of you." He said and raises his glass of wine and was about to call someone when he turned back, the boy wasn't there anymore.

"Sky, where's Lix?"

Sky frowned and hid his clenching jaw from anger..."I think he's somewhere, but don't worry he might be just with the others." He tried to take the boss' attention again but was instead ignored as Sam went to find the kid.

"Sh*t!" Sky cursed as he looked at his boss desperately looking for Lix. Peter came to his side. "So he's the one..." He didn't know where the courage came for him to say that...

"Yeah, so you need to forget about me." He reminded before making his way out of the crowd. Peter sighed in pain and went to the others who are trying all of the dishes he and Bob prepared.

Lix's POV

Oh my god, why did I came here? I should be there and greet him. I'm so stupid, why the hell am i like this?

"Lix?"

"B-boss!" Shit why did i stutter? And what's with the loud voice Lix?

Boss giggled and got me so embarrassed. "How have you been?" He asked as he sat down on the floor beside me. Frickin beside me!

"Good!"

"Well I can see that you've grown well." He smiled at me which I did as well. "And call me hyung, I've told you that already... didn't I?"

"Yes....hyung" GRRR don't blush Lix! Don't embarrass yourself in front of the man you like!

Wait?

The man I like?!

I turn my head towards him and found hyung staring at me. And now I can't seemed to look away anymore. "Lix..." My name rolling out in his mouth with such deep voice...shit!

"H-hyung..."

He then slowly lift his right hand and placed it on my face, caressing it oh so slowly... "Have I told you before...that you look so beautiful Lix? Hmmm?"

"I...."

"Hey boss? Are you here?" I was about to speak when we heard Bob's voice looking for hyung. "Oh here you are, oh Lix too. Boss everyone is looking for you and Peter is looking for you Lix."

"Oh I see...okay!"

Bob then went in first, he didn't seem to notice what was happening and that's good. Boss got up and held his hand towards me, helping me up.

"Come on, let's go back and have some fun."

"yeah..."

Oh god so close but yet so far...

Surprise! New chapter! I know i said that maybe I'll update this Saturday, but I was in a good mood afterall I've done two task at school already. So how was it? Hope you enjoy it!
