Chapter 14

Lix's POV

Tonight will be the night and as hyung said, our only mission is to take the said inventor of some kind of weapon that could put everyone in danger. The main family are getting rid of pests from the neighboring countries, leaving us minor family to take the job.

But before that hyung called a meeting, where I finally got to meet the units and the main members. Jayden-hyung and his unit, called Boyz, while another unit was called Ateez which definitely got some intimidating members. And finally, the unit called Treasure.

"Well then everyone is here, it's been a while since we've seen each other. I'll give time tomorrow to have audience, for now I would like to inform that the minor family from the South and East will be joining us tomorrow. So I hope to see everyone here." Hyung said and everyone seemed to be excited to meet the other minor family. I'm still new so I don't know much...

"Tonight, Boyz's unit will be going to a mission with me, those who are assigned with their own mission please do you job in an orderly manner, while those who are left behind...I would like to ask you to prepare for tomorrow's event. Sky will lead you all."

"Yes Boss!"

"Good. Fang, I would like to talk with you for a minute... everyone else is dismissed" Fang is the leader of Ateez, they're really scary and this guy is as scary as Mr. Sky.

Fang went to follow Hyung, leaving everyone in their places. I was about to go somewhere else when people started to crowd.

"So you're the lucky guy?"

"Boss still have the habit to pick up kids, huh?"

"Hey, don't be rude! And I think he's older than u! You're a kid yourself"

"Whatever!"

These kids, have quite a temper and are very much annoying. They're from Treasure, I presume. How did these kids even got to join this mafia business?

"Hmmm, hey you okay?" i flinch as suddenly a shorter male asked me from behind.

"Y-yeah"

"You guys! Can you shut up? You'll scare him with all of you fuzzing around!" The said male shouted at the others which got them all quiet. I guess he's their leader? Maybe?

"Sorry about that, my guys are very hyper most of the time. I'm Daniel but you can just call me Dan..." He was about to say something but was cut off by a nagging voice.

"You guys, you're gonna get in trouble!"

"And that is Jun. You don't need to meet the other's, they'll just annoy you." Well i can see that

"But anyways it's nice to meet you, I better go and take care of these kids. Just a little advice for you, you should watch you back always, you're new to these kind of things right? Not everyone is as kind as some of us." He smiled before leaving me on my spot trying to take up his said advice.

'Not everyone is as kind as some of us' hmmm not really sure but, is he hinting something? I better take him seriously, who knows...

I went away and was about to take myself back to my room, when hyung and the man earlier named Fang came out of his office. "Oh, Lix come..."

"I like you to meet Fang, he's the leader of Ateez. Fang this is Lix..." The man nods his head and said his greetings before walking away.

"Don't worry he's just like that, he'll open up once he knows you more. So you're going back to your room?" I nodded when hyung approached me and pats my head.

"Well then have a rest we'll be going at 8:00, you still have enough time. I let someone come and get you."

I nodded and proceeded to my room. I sighed and eventually got all red, embarrassed and quite flustered. I can't help but be mesmerized by the hyung's beauty. And the way he pats my head....ahhhhhh

Sam's POV

It's almost 8:00... I was about to ask Eric to get Lix but was surprised to see him already downstairs.

I can't help but look at him with such smiling face as he talks with the others. But one particular person caught my attention the most. With the way he looks at Lix, i knew he's different from others.

"Lix, come here for a sec..." He nods and ran up to me, he's wearing a white polo shirt, a black slacks and black shoes. "You've worn your gears already?"

"Yes"

"Good!"

"Is everyone ready?"

"Yes, boss."

"Well then, let's go."

We all went inside 4 cars as we're quite a big number, I held Lix by his wrist for him to follow me on my own car. "I'm driving, you sit by my side."

He went in and I was about to drive off when James came up to us. "Sorry boss, but can I ride with you...the other cars are quite full than yours."

"Yeah, get inside!" I unlocked the back door and I took a glance at Lix who seems to be a bit bothered. I reach out for his hand which got his attention.

"You okay?"

"Y-yeah, I'm fine."

I nodded and drive off, as the others followed behind. Everyone has their ear piece, which is very important. I glanced at Lix beside me and was thankful he didn't forgot about it.

"Boss, i have received a message from my men who's already there, they have confirmed the presence of the inventor." It Jayden on the other line, Lix also heard which made him look at me.

"Good, we're almost there. Everyone do your best."

"Yes boss!" Everyone said, including James who's been watching me the whole ride. I'm not stupid to not notice...

And I know, Lix noticed as well. Which make me think, what could he be thinking out of this? Is he jealous? What does he think about me?

I can't help it but smirked...but it disappeared as we are finally here.

"Initiate mission: Capture the Inventor!"
