Chapter 12

"I finally got the answer to all of my questions!"

Sam held Lix's shoulder, telling him to relax. He walked towards the other VIPs, stared at them, like a predator hungry for blood.

"What do you mean, Mr. Sam?"

It was Mr. Diego Garcia, who asked, who looked at the red-haired man with fear in his eyes. "Well, actually you don't have to worry about this Mr. Garcia and Mr. Rodriguez, although someone here does and I'm just here to help you identify them...or your company will go down-down-down!" Sam smirked, as he held the businessman's hand and shook it.

Mr. Garcia smiled with relief, definitely trusting the man. "Well then, I'll give you the floor Mr. Sam." He then told his men to calm down.

Sam walked around, before going back to his chair. "Mr. Diaz, mind explaining to everyone here?"

Mr. Diaz gulped hard. "Okay, please just let my men go for now. I'll tell you everything!"

Sam told his men to let the bodyguards go out. After all, it's their boss who they need. "Time's ticking Mr. Diaz..."

"Sorry, but I can't tell you a thing..." The man said, smiling like a demon. As Sam was about to shoot him, when the lights went out, making the whole room dark.

Underneath the darkness, all Lix could do was to clutch the red head's arm, as his safety was all in his mind. The lights came back, but the man in front was nowhere to be found and was all safe and Sam was relieved. But before he could stand up, he was surprised to find two pairs of hands on him.

Lix and Sky, who were now glaring at each other. Sam was a bit confused. He held both by the arm, telling him he was fine, and so they did.

But the scene didn't get unnoticed by Rhino and Chris, who are now smirking. Sam looked around before looking down on the table where a card was placed. There was something written on it...

"Mamba's heh, so I was right afterall... Let's go back now. Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Rodriguez, Mr. Garcia. You have nothing to fear, I'll be assigning men from my family to guard you and your families."

The two oldies thanked the man and even gave him gifts, like wine and even food for everyone to share. "Let's go back now..." Sam told Sky and soon they were out of the building.

Sam and Lix got back inside their car, but this time Sky was not with them as he stayed behind with a group of men to check the perimeter, in case the Mamba's hadn't gone that far.

"You can remove that mask, is it suffocating?" Sam asked as Lix removed it. "Not really, it's fine!" Lix smiled, before changing to a concerned expression.

"Are you okay, Hyung? You didn't get hurt, right?" The older person smiled before leaning on the boy, who was surprised. "Just tired, so let me sleep for a while. Okay?"

"O-okay"

The ride back to their house was silent, both fast asleep.

Lix's POV

"Hey Lix, wake up..." It was Rhino-hyung.

"Hmm, hyung-"

"Shhhh you'll wake the boss up" he silently scolded, and to my surprise, I looked at the unconscious body beside me. Hyung was peacefully asleep.

"You know, I've never seen him sleeping like this. He always has nightmares so he sometimes doesn't sleep at all...and everyone is worried about his health." He sadly said as he gazed at hyung.

Looking at him, he's really adorable when he's at peace. "Let's take him upstairs, I'll help you-"

"No need, hyung. I got it!" Hyung smiled and nodded at me. I carried him on my back with the help of Rhino-hyung. Thankfully, enough that hyung seems to be a heavy sleeper.

He's quite light for someone who's tall and bulky. Everyone was happy to see the boss sleeping like a baby, so peaceful. It was the first for everyone, as Rhino-hyung said, but they were joyous about such a simple thing.

I finally got upstairs, to his bed, which was my room before, but now that he's back, I moved to the bedroom beside his.

I placed him on the bed, and was about to leave when he held me in my hand. "Don't leave me..."

"Hyung?!"

"Jelly-hyung"

Jelly? Hyung? Who is he? Why are you calling him? My mind suddenly went black. Hyung, I hate it when you call another man's name! I hate it!

I could feel my body leaning towards him at a distance so little, I had this urge to lean down even more, but I was able to stop myself, to realize everything.

Sh*t!!!!!

I stood up fast and ran out. I had stubble on my feet and I felt myself falling, expecting a hard impact on the floor, but it was an arm around my hips.

"Are you okay?!" A guy asked as he held me tightly, before helping me stand on my feet. "Ah y-yeah, thank you." I turned to him to find a quiet handsome man. Yeah, I've seen him before, on the training field.

"No problem, I'm Eric, by the way."

"Lix, nice to meet you..."

"You too! I think we're at the same age. Let's hang out when you're free."

"Yeah sure, I think I'm free right now." The guy chuckled and clung to me with his arm around my shoulder. "Well then, let's go..."

All I could do was smile, he's quite a silly guy.

No one's POV

As Lix and Eric went somewhere, unknowingly a figure from afar was smiling, hoping everything would go as he thought it would...

"Ahhh looks like little Lix found a new friend. Boss' will be all mine now!"
