𝗦𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗨𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗛𝗜𝗠. Well, she didn't actually. Mackenzie Jones had only imagined that she had dragged a machete straight through Rafe Cameron's throat, preventing her from ever needing to get ready for an actual date with him.

Now, a year ago Mackenzie had been madly into Rafe Cameron and had this huge fantasy about how they would fall in love on the beach watching the sunset one night. All that changed very quickly the closer Mackenzie got to Rafe. You could also give some credit to her newfound friends, the pouges, who also had a huge role in her developed hatred for Rafe.

"Mackenzie, Rafe is here!" Melanie Jones called out from the foyer.

It took everything in Mackenzie not to launch herself out the open window in her bedroom. Instead, like the good daughter she was, she smoothed out her short black dress and pulled her brown jacket tighter around her body.

As she walked down the staircase towards her parents and Rafe who all shared the same pleased smile on their faces, Mackenzie couldn't help but wish someone else was at the bottom of the stairs.

When the brunette reached the bottom of the stairs, Rafe stepped forward wrapping his arm around her waist. It took a lot of willpower from Mackenzie not to pull away from his grip.

"What plans do you have tonight?" Melanie purred, she had on a white silk nightgown that had her breasts on full display for Rafe to very obviously gawk at them. "Might I suggest the parallel seventeen?"

Rafe lowered his hand to cup Mackenzie's butt as he tore his gaze from Melanie's breasts and onto her eyes, "I booked reservations for Aquarius Blue, and thought that after dinner we could have a nice walk along the beach after, of course respecting Mack's curfew."

He was obviously fishing for permission to have the girl spend the night at his place.

"Just be home tomorrow for lunch." Melanie smiled, waving the two out the door.

The drive to Aquarius Blue was agonizing, full of Rafe's fingers continually trying to find their way up Mackenzie's dress. Thankfully, once at the restaurant, it was hard for the boy to physically touch her as they sat across from each other.

Mackenzie breathed in the fresh ocean air that the venue offered. The sun was just starting to set, casting this stunning orange tinge over her tan skin. She glanced at Rafe and met his uninviting blue eyes, he had noticed that she was somewhere other than on this date.

"I feel like we haven't talked in a while, Mack, what have you been doing?" Rafe asked an optimistic smile on his face, leaning in to show interest.

She narrowed her eyes at him about to say something completely out of line but was interrupted by a young waiter asking for her order.

Rafe ended up ordering for Mackenzie, the food she completely hated and he would have known that if he was paying attention to her face instead of glaring at the very familiar waiter a few tables over. Mackenzie had yet to notice her blonde friend was present, but boy when she did her face completely lit up and she felt her heart flutter.

Unfortunately, Rafe took this change of body language wrong and thought it was directed at him. He scooted his chair closer to the table and using his foot nudged it between Mackenzie's legs to open them. She jumped at the cold feeling of his fingers on her upper thigh, trailing just below her dress's cut-off.

"What are you doing?" She asked, trying to squeeze her legs shut.

The boy gave her a soft smile, "I just miss you, Mack, all the fun we used to have."
