The dementors had been surrounding the castle ever since the opening feast. It was scary, they were everywhere and knowing they had the power to kill you on the spot just made it worse. And if that wasn't creepy enough we were now in divination, with the weird teacher."Welcome my children. In this room you shall explore the noble art of divination. In this room you shall discover if you possess the sight!" She spoke eerily as she banged her hands on the table, causing the class to laugh.
"I am professor trelawney. Together we shall cast ourselves into the future. This time we shall be focusing on the art of tea leaves so please take the cup of the person sitting opposite you" she instructed the class as we continued to giggle at her odd mannerisms. Ron and Harry passed their cups to one another and snorted at my betrayed face.
"You see the truth lies buried at the bottom of a book waiting to be read! But first you must broaden your minds. First you must look beyond!"
"What a load of rubbish!" Hermione complained whilst looking into my cup. I picked hers up and started looking into it.
"Bloody hell! Where did you come from!?" Ron exclaimed as he jumped in his seat.
"Me? I've been here all this time"
"You boy is your grandmother quite well?" Trelawney asked Neville.
"Uh um I think so?" Neville responded whilst turning in his seat to make eye contact with the teacher.
"Huh i wouldn't be quite sure of that. Give me the cup. Ooh no. Pity yeah. Broaden your minds!" She rambled on as Neville grabbed at his cup.
She started humming and singing to herself as she started the trek back to the front of the classroom before pausing in-front of our table.
"Oh oh! Your aura is pulsing dear! Are you In the beyond? I think you are!" The professor yelled at Ron.
"Uh uh sure" he nodded at her.
"Gimme the cup yeah tell me what you see!" She gestured at him to do so.
"Um yeah so Harry's got sort of a wonky cross. That's trials and suffering so that could be the sun. And that's happiness. So uh you're gonna suffer. But uh you're gonna be.. happy about it" he recited awkwardly.
"Gimme the cup" she said to him and as she grabbed it she let out a loud scream of fear, backing away from the table after dropping the cup.
"My dear, you have... the grim" she said making people mutter out loud.
"The grim? What's the grim?" Someone shouted to the teacher.
"The grim taking the form of a large spetric dog is among the darkest omens of our world. It's an omen of death" soMeone else spoke as Harry looked into his cup in worry, seeing the shape of a black dog. Yeah we were screwed.
