'Ushijima The Farmboy'
"Koko-kun!" Aiya heard someone exclaim. When she turned her head, she was met by the one and only face of Tendō Satori.
"Huh? 'Koko-kun'?? and hello to you, Tendō-san." She gave a small wave.
He returned her gesture with an eager smile, a slither of pride in his voice when he explained to her the personalized nick-name he had come up with the other night. "Yup! because your surname is Kane-ko, so I'll call you Koko-kun from now on."
Aiya grinned brightly in return, mirroring the one he sported on his face, endeared that he thought of a nickname for her. It was very cute.
Ever since that day she visited Wakatoshi at the end of practice, she had slowly been making friends with the volleyball team, even as far as talking about their motivations for playing volley and aspirations for the future.
She was walking away from the vending machine to her usual break spots in the building, stopping to speak with some of her fellow classmates and now Tendō. She'd already approached Wakatoshi earlier, telling him that she was planning to eat lunch with her friend and he agreed, not obligating her to be close to him 24/7. It was one of her favorite things to have in this relationship, that Aiya and Ushijima was more lax on spending time with each other. She loved when they had sweet moments to themselves and Ushijima didn't mind anything, as long as they had good communication and treated their times together well. But still, it was nice to interact with their respective friends and have alone-time sometimes. They were already seeing each other for almost the whole week at school anyway, and he'd walk her home after club hours most of the time. Getting to see each other during the week wasn't much of an issue.
"You should come sit with me and Ushiwaka, Koko-kun. Don't you wanna spend time with your boyfriend?"
With how his expressions were ambiguously suggestive, it almost sounded like a mock, but Aiya's come to find that Tendō had a very.. outward and extreme (in a good connotation, she thinks) way of showing support to his friends.
Before she could say anything, Tendō had slung his arm around her shoulders and practically started dragging her towards his table, garnering the eyes of many in the cafeteria. Aiya nodded happily anyway, hoping that her friend could understand why she wouldn't be sitting with her due to the sudden invite.
Approaching the unmistakably tall build of her boyfriend, Aiya tapped the top of his shoulders and smiled at him sweetly when he turned his head.
Ushijima, who sported a minuscule raise on one of his eyebrows questioned, "Hello, Aiya. I thought you were going to eat lunch with Ikeda-san?"
"Ahh well I was about to leave but Tendō-san invited me over. You know, it'd be rude to decline a friendly invitation. I'm sure Yua wouldn't mind, I'll tell her about it when we meet in class later." She answered, smiling so sweetly at him before Tendō's voice cut the moment off.
