Later that day, Clyde and Audrey went into Commotion City to gather some supplies for Ray's invention. However, going into the city without any disguise would be risky. So, they chose some outfits to wear so that the mob wouldn't recognize them.
Audrey wore a blue wig with pink highlights, some heart-shaped sunglasses, and a blue tank top accompanied by jeans. This was very uncomfortable for her, as this blue e-girl outfit was not her style.
Clyde wore an orange jacket, brown pants, and had a fake mustache on his upper lip, as well as his hair slicked back instead of the usual spikey cut he had.
It was embarrassing, but if they wanted to go into the city without being shot at, they needed to be incognito. Their first stop was at a technology store. Ray had given them a list of what they needed, with VERY specific items and what they needed.
They walked into the store. Audrey was so embarrassed. What if somebody recognized her?
"Aud- I mean, Rebecca. You stay here while I go get the supplies. It shouldn't take too long." he said, almost blowing their cover.
"Okay, Cly- I mean, Miguel." she replied.
He went down the aisle. She stood there, completely on edge. But, standing there felt boring. She figured it wouldn't hurt to look at some of the tech they had there. So, the cell phone aisle it was.
She looked at the different phones they had. She missed being able to text her friends and look at QuickiePic. It was sad how she had no choice but to use a stupid flip phone with a burner number.
Of course, while browsing the phones, she bumped into an old friend. It was... A certain English girl with red hair and glasses. She was on the phone with somebody.
"No, absolutely not." she said, talking to the person on the phone.
"Look, I get it. But, that was YOUR choice. You can't stay with me. I have shit I gotta do." Whoever she was talking to sounded desperate. Must've been a friend that lost their home or something.
"I'll talk to you later when you've calmed down. Okay, okay. Bye!" she said, hanging up the phone. She sighed. Then, she turned around and saw Audrey, who was wearing the blue wig and sunglasses.
"Oh, hey cutie. How long were you standing there?" the English girl said.
"I-I'm not cute." she replied. She knew this girl.
"Oh, don't be so hard on yourself. What's your name?"
"Me? My name is. uh... Rebecca."
"Nice to meet you, Rebecca. I'm Ashley. World-class supermodel, QuickiePic celebrity, and representative of the Stay Black brand. Perhaps you've heard of me?"
"N-No. I haven't heard of you. I don't get on QuickiePic."
"Hmm, alright. So, what are you doing here? Were you admiring me? Babe, I know I'm sexy, but it's not polite to stare." she teased.
Audrey just stood there, feeling nervous. It was surreal seeing Ashley but not being recognized.
"So, who was that on the phone?" she asked.
"Oh, it was nobody. Just my little cousin. She left her parents' house and is looking for a place to stay. She asked me but I turned her down. I have enough on my plate as it is."
Audrey, "Rebecca", knew who she was referring to. Lilian, also known as the girl who made out with her on Christmas.
"She sounds like a hot mess." she stated.
