Lia woke up on Sunday and immediately headed to her bathroom. She routinely took off her hoodie and sweatpants before taking a deep breath. She hoped she weighed less. It's been 5 days since she's eaten an actual meal. When she stepped on the scale, she smiled. It read: 113 lbs.
It had been two day since she's weighed herself and she was happy she lost 7lbs. Even though she said she would stop at 100 lbs, she thought, why stop? Why don't I see how long I can go?
Time Skip: 1 week
"Mrs. Rivers and Mr. Malfoy, please wait inside the classroom," Professor Snape suddenly said.
It had been a week since school start and Lia was, well, struggling. She would know why Snape would want to talk to her, but why Draco?
"It has come to my attention that you, Draco, are acing my class, while Mrs. Rivers here is on the brink of failing," Snape informed the two students.
"Because of this I think it would be fair to give you, Mrs. Rivers, a chance to redeem your grade. I want Mr. Malfoy here to meet with you every day, I don't care when or where. Mr. Malfoy is going to tutor you in potions. No negotiations. Now, off you go," Snape motioned them out of the classroom.
After they exited the doors, Draco and Lia looked at eachother.
"Did you know about this, Draco?"
"No, I didn't Lia, I swear."
"Whatever, it's okay. What time do you want to meet and where?"
"We can meet in the Library. We'll go after dinner."
"I um-I'm not going to dinner. I have some homework to catch up on, you know."
"You can just do it when we meet."
"No, Draco. It's fine really," Lia said, getting frustrated that he was gonna ruin her plan to skip dinner.
"Okay, just meet me in the Library at 8:00."
"Alright, bye Draco."
"Bye, Lia."
Hours later while dinner was going on, Lia was heavy breathing. She wanted to find a way to lose weight faster. Yes, she was losing, but not at the speed she wanted. Lia had just finished doing 500 crunches and her abs were on fire, her body cursing her for even doing it, meanwhile on an empty stomach.
When Lia rose up from where she was performing the exercise's, suddenly everything went black.
1 minute later...
"What the fuck," Lia muttered to herself. She had just fainted. That had never happened before.
Lia shook her head as a pounding headache emerged. She needed a shower. Lia started the tap and when it was hot enough to scald her skin, she stepped underneath the water.
Sweat washed off her skin reminding her off the acts she had just accomplished. Lia stayed inside the shower until she felt somewhat relaxed and clean, but the the roaring in her ears from her headache never faded.
After putting on an embroidered Slytherin crewneck and plaid green and black pajama pants, Lia glanced at the clock. It flashed: 7:56 pm.
"Shit," Lia whispered to no one but herself.
She grabbed her wand, potions book, and a hair tie before she raced down towards the Library. There she was met with the expected, Draco Malfoy.
"I'm sorry if I was late. I just got caught up in, well, I was showering and stayed in the-" She was about to ramble on before his voice cut her off.
"It's fine, Lia. You're literally only 2 minutes late. No need to explain yourself."
"Oh, sorry," Lia apologized as heat crept on her face once more with embarrassment.
"You don't need to keep apologizing. Come on, let's go to the back."
Lia followed him as he led her through what had to be at least 100 bookshelves before they made it to the back. They sat down, both spreading out their potions books on the large, wooden table.
An hour later, Draco abruptly said:
"Are you okay, Lia. You look like you're in pain."
"I just have sort of a headache. It started before I came here so I didn't want to bother you."
"Do you need some juice or Madam Promfery to give you some medicine?"
"No, that won't be necessary. I'm sure it'll go away," Lia said almost eagerly. If she went to Madam Promfery, the woman would definitely know Lia was malnourished.
"Do you want to take a break? Maybe that will help," Draco suggested.
"Why are you so nice to me?" Lia blurted out, the word falling from her mouth.
"I'm always nice to everyone," Draco smirked, knowing that was a straight out lie and they both knew it.
Lia rolled her eyes, "Forget I asked." When she reached to go rub her temples as another wave of pain crashed over her head, her sleeve rolled up. Just a little, but enough so Draco could see some of her lacerated skin peaking out.
"Lia, what happened to your arm?" Draco asked, concerned. All of the scratches visible were mostly fresh and deep.
"Oh, umm, well, you know, my owl accidentally gave me a few scratches. Nothing to worry about," Lia tried to play it cool.
"Lia I don't think-" Draco started.
"It's nothing, really, Draco. So please stop pushing it. I'm gonna head back to my room. I'll see you tomorrow, same time and same place. Good night, Draco," Lia finished the conversation and started walking away.
Before she could get fully out of earshot, though, she could hear Draco say,
"Good night, Lia."
