Summer break was always hard for Lia. Being home with her parents, getting tormented and assaulted for 2 months. But she knew she had to be strong, because if she wasn't, she would go spiraling.
Mattheo stayed with her most of the time, sometimes leaving mysteriously. But they tried to make the best out of the summer. Lia had sent letters to Draco multiple times, but there was never any response. She tried not to worry about it to much, though.
Letters could get intercepted, he could be busy, he might have ran out of paper to write back. She thought of any excuse other than he was ignoring her. Because why would he do that?
She had faith he would would write back, so she tried to ignore the nagging feeling in her chest of worry. It was July, and Mattheo had somewhere to go, he didn't say where. He was acting strange. Over protective and distant.
Is it my fault Draco and Mattheo are ignoring me? Am I to much of a burden?
Since the winter Lia was now fully weight restored at 120lbs. It was a normal weight for her age and height and her therapist was really helpful. She told Mattheo where all her blades were, or so he thought.

Lia pulled out one of her blades and dragged it across the top her stomach. It was the perfect place to cut because no one would suspect it. She felt guilty for relapsing and lying to Draco and Mattheo, but the urges were too strong.Time Skip: 1 week
"Lia! Get down here!" She heard her mother call from downstairs. When she arrived downstairs, her parents were seated in the dining room.
"What is it?" Lia questioned her parents.
"We wanted to talk."
"About what?"
"The Dark Lord is back."
At that moment, Lia felt her heart stop.
"Mattheo is almost ready to take the mark."
Her hands layered with sweat.
"Soon, you will, too."
Her skin paled.
"I don't want to. Please don't make me," Lia begged her parents.
"It is not our or your decision. It is the Dark Lord's. He wants you to join him after Mattheo does."
She gained the composure to finally run upstairs and slam her door.
Time Skip: September 1st
Mattheo and Lia made their way onto the train to Hogwarts. She was excited to see Draco and hug him. Love him.
But when she stepped into the cart he sat in, she felt her stomach drop. The blonde boy sat looking out the window. His face looked gaunt, even from the side and he was unusually pale given summer just passed.
"Draco," Lia whispered. Tears welled in her eyes. She hadn't seen or heard from him in almost 3 months.
"Lia," Draco whispered back as he turned his head to face her. She brought a shaky hand to her mouth. He had huge purple eye bags and looked drained.
She sat down next to him and engulfed him in a hug. He weakly hugged her back.
"What's wrong, Draco? You didn't answer any of my letters and now you're so distant. Did I do something wrong? Let me know, please," Lia's voice cracked.
"I don't want to be with you anymore, Lia."
He said it so calmly and without emotion that her heart cracked in two. "Why? Why so suddenly?" She asked him.
"I just don't want you anymore. You were fun to fool around with, but you're crazy if you thought it was anything more than that."
Tears fell down her face, not stopping. "You said you loved me, though."
"I loved your body. You were so fucking hot when you were skinny," He smirked.
She couldn't take it anymore. All those days they cuddled in bed, made love, cried to eachother, it was all just a game to him. Lia ran into the bathroom on the train, locked the door, and slid down the wall. Her chest caved as she thought about the cruel things he said.
Did he mean it? Of course he did. As soon as I gained weight I knew he would hate me. I need to lose it again. People probably think I'm a disgusting pig.
She stayed in the bathroom until Pansy came looking for her. Then she wiped her tears and pretended it didn't hurt. Because if people knew how bad her heart ached, of course they would be concerned she would relapse.
She didn't want them watching her like a hawk. She needed to be slick this time around.

Draco's Pov
The mark on my forearm aches. Reminding me of the choice I didn't have.
I did it to protect her
I did it to protect her
I did it to protect her
I did it to protect herBut did I have to be so harsh?
Even though the Dark Lord told me to break her, did I have to watch as she fell into pieces?
(AN: SUPRISE!!! I'm back!)
