Lia quietly knocked on Pansy's door, hoping she would be inside. When the door swung open, she was met with those familiar green eyes.
"Hey Lia, come in," Pansy said while moving to let Lia inside her dorm.
Lia stepped inside the room, taking it in. She realized she hadn't been too Pansy's dorm in a while. Lia's been distant for obvious reasons.
"You can sit on the bed, if you want," Pansy offered and sat on the bed too. There was silence for a moment, but then-
"I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry," both girls spoke at the same time.
"Pansy I've been really distant and I'm gonna tell you why. I'm so sorry," Lia spoke before explaining her whole school year this far and everything's that happened.
When Lia was done talking, she looked up from
her best friend's slate grey comforter and Pansy's face was covered in tears. She was holding a hand up to her mouth like she was holding in the biggest sob."Pans-"
Pansy engulfed her best friend in a hug. "I'm so so sorry Lia. I should have known," Pansy cried before squeezing her friend once more and letting go. When Pansy looked up she was met with Lia piercing green and blue eyes, filled with tears.
"It's okay, Pansy. There was no way you could have known."
"I'm here for you, Lia. Just know that okay. I love you."
"I love you too, Pans."
The girls looked at the clock and it was already 9:00pm. Lia left Pansy's dorm room and started walking towards Mattheo's. On her way, she passed the school's gym.
It had the most modern equipment and was very luxurious. Her mind started to race...
What if throwing up the food wasn't enough? I've already gained weight from the hospital. Just one run could help. But I promised my brother and Draco. They wouldn't know, though.
Just as she was about to step inside the gym, a tap on the shoulder pulled her out of her thoughts. "Lia, I came to come get you from Pansy's. Are you okay?" A familiar voice asked her. It was Draco.
"Yea, I'm okay. Thanks for coming to get me," Lia replied. Inside she was seething, how could Draco stop her from trying to lose weight?
"Why didn't Mattheo come get me? Just curious."
"He fell asleep. He didn't really sleep when you were in Saint Mungos. He's tired."
"Oh, okay." Lia's face fell at the thought of her brother pacing around her hospital room, hoping she would survive.
The image of her brother and Draco seeing her pale and thin body. Healing remedies and gauze wrapped around her wrists. A feeding tube traveling up her nose, pumping calories into her body. Lia shivered, but she wasn't cold.
"Maybe you should sleep in my room. I don't want to wake him," Draco suggested.
"Where would I sleep?"
"I'll sleep on the couch and you can sleep in my bed. You've been sleeping in a hospital bed all week."
"Okay."
When they arrived at the dorm, Lia was surprised about how clean and neat Draco's room was. It was decorated with the traditional green and white Slytherin colors.
"You can wear some of my clothes. I don't think you want to sleep in your robes," Draco said while handing Lia a t-shirt and green flannel pants. They were way to large for her, but she would make do.
She entered Draco's bathroom and before stepping into Draco's clothes after shedding her own, she spotted a scale. I just need to see how much I weigh.
Lia quietly walked onto the metal, being as quiet as possible. When the number's flashed, Lia broke down crying. 88.7lb blinked red on the small screen. Before being admitted to Saint Mungo's she was 86.3. How did I gain 2lbs? I'm so fat. I'm going to be back to my highest weight by spring at this rate.
Harsh knocking on the wooden door were muffled by sobs. So drowned in her sorrows, Lia didn't notice when the door swung open and Draco entered the bathroom. Lia sat on the cold, tiled floor, dressed in only underwear and a bra, covering her face to hide frequent tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Lia, what's wrong? Talk to me," Draco pleaded.
"T-The scale," Lia replied.
Draco looked over his shoulder, met with a blinking number. He connected the dots and grabbed Lia's frail body, along with his clothes, into his arms, carrying her bridal style. He set her down on his Queen-sized bed and helped her slip on the loose clothing.
When he was done Draco lied next to Lia and let her snuggle into his chest. He whispered sweet nothings into her ear while massaging her bony back. Soon enough they both fell asleep, cuddled next to one another.
....................................................................................
Draco awoke in the dark to legs kicking his body and whimpers echoing throughout the room. He turned on the lamp aside his bed to see Lia moving around, her face scrunched together in panic. He'd seen this happen to his mother before. Lia was having a bad nightmare, one that reminded her of a traumatic event.
Knowing not to try and abruptly wake her up, he gently started stroking her hair and until she opened her eyes. When she realized what happened her faved flushed red in embarrassment and she spoke.
"I'm sorry, Draco. I didn't-"
"It's okay, Lia. Come here."
Draco squeezed her into a hug, feeling her bones protrude her skin. When they finally separated, Lia looked into his eyes and Draco tilted his head down meet her's.
Their lips connected softly. It was a sweet and sensual kiss. Butterflies erupted in both teenager's stomach's. They allowed access to each other's mouth's so their tongue's could slowly graze one another.
When they broke apart, both were breathing heavily. They smiled at eachother and Draco gave one last light kiss to Lia's forehead and they fell asleep once more, holding onto eachother.
