I tied up my black and white converse shoelaces as I made sure my dress was neat and looked good as my Dad started the car. It was kind of difficult taking in how I looked and felt like a princess, my hair was curled and let out and my dress was a beautiful green color.
The wind tickled my arms as I rubbed them to get some warmth around me. My Dad helped my mum get into the car as he made sure her dress wasn't going to get crushed when the door closed.
I walked towards my side of the car and opened my door as my Dad jogged to my side of the car and helped me get into the car. My dress was bottle green with flowers flowing downwards. It was a bottle green dress with bell sleeves and printed flowers on the dress, the top half had a flower pattern made from lace.
I put my seat-belt on and closed my door as my Dad hopped into the driver's side and started the car. "Alright we're not that late seeing as the event starts at 7:30, Evelyn be on your best behavior." I rolled my eyes at my Dad's words. "When am I not Dada bear?" I asked him in a joking tone. "Oh haha,""Oh Seb, leave the girl alone." My inspiration and the person I looked up to being my Mum rescued me from my Dad's questions. "We're going to have to face the Hudson's today," I sighed at the thought of the stuck up family.
"And Evie bug, keep your distance from their son Tanner." I nodded as I remembered the boy that had been my childhood best friend before shoving me to the side because of his sister Thea.
"Evie bug, I remember that nickname Dad," I told him as he chuckled. "It was a nickname only I could call you. . . I remembered when Diego had called you Evie bug and you started crying." My parents laughed as I tried not to look embarrassed at the fact that I cried about that.
"Oh, that was a whole other world." My Mum said as my Dad gave her a lovesick look, I fake gagged behind at my parents as my Dad stopped at the traffic light. I looked outside and realized we were at the hall. 'Well, it looks more like a mansion rather than a hall.' I grabbed the reins of my nerves and tried to calm down. 'Diego and Kenzie are going to be there and maybe who knows Nevaeh might be there too.'
I sighed as Dad drove through the parking area for the mansion and parked the car. The engine stopped humming as Dad turned the car off and turned to look at me. "Don't be nervous, Evie bug. . . we'll be right there and if the kids aren't right for you, say the word and I'll be your getaway driver." I smiled at his words and nodded.
I released a breath as I unbuckled my seat belt and got off. I walked towards the mansion as my parents walked in front hand-in-hand. I jogged in the dress as best as I could, grateful that I wore my converse which was hidden in plain sight because of the length of my dress. 'Okay, it's practically like a ball gown, just less puffy.'
The doors gracefully opened and two men in suits stopped my parents as my Mum handed him the invitations given to my Dad by his manager. The two men nodded and arched an eyebrow my way. I immediately recognized one of the men as Alfred, the nice butler of the Whitewoods. 'So maybe this night won't be bad.' I thought to myself as Alfred gave me a small smile and gave me a silent indication of where the Whitewoods were.
I smiled at him and gave him a small thanks. I walked towards the two Whitewood brothers as Nevaeh stood with them. "Hey," I greeted the three of them as Charles waved at me from his seat at the table.
"Hey Eve," Nevaeh looked amazing in a maroon colored satin dress that had short puffy sleeves and lace patterns at the bottom almost rolling off in waves. Both the Whitewood brothers wore a black suit as Charles' hair was neatly styled whereas Jacob's was a messy lot of brown hair.
