Time draws in so fast, not when your nerves won't calm down on you.

It was the day Rindou's father would arrive. Part of you wanted to beg Rindou to not let you meet him, not after knowing what Ran said what kind of man their father was.

You didn't know what Rindou's deal was, or why he wanted you to meet his father.

Ran had been finishing 4 sticks of cigarettes by the balcony area, it seems to you, you're not the only one who's nervous about meeting their father.

"Our father suffered from PTSD." Ran informed you, "I'll apologize on behalf of his actions today if something triggers him." You didn't expect their father to have a disorder. "Seems like violence you partake in towards others will always come back to you in the end huh?" He almost said to himself, easing the tense of the room.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental disorder that one can develop after exposure to a traumatic event, such as sexual assault, warfare, traffic collisions, child abuse, or other threats on a person's life. Ran explained that his father might come down in distress whenever he remembers his life of crime from the past.

But as he was now old, there weren't many words coming out from his mouth lately. He was just mute, only moved when it was time to eat, sleep or go to bed. He never acknowledged them either as well. So basically their father had clammed up like a shell for them.

"If you're having second thoughts in meeting him, now's the time to back out, darling." Ran smirked, lighting his fifth cigarette but you reached over and snatched it from his lips.

"I think I should be the one telling you this," You reprimanded, "You've been smoking shit for hours, are you okay?" You bent the cigarette and threw it in the trash making Ran sigh, rubbing his face.

"I haven't seen our father in a while.." He defended.

"I thought it was your idea to make him pay a visit?" You muttered, making him scrunch his eyebrows. "Besides, Rindou wants me to meet him."
