Few weeks pass, I am a developing model. Jamie and his friends train me to be a good one. On the other hand, Logan and I haven't talk or even just glance at each other. Although, him and Ashley are still staying strong and that's good.
Yesterday, Jamie asked me on a date, which left me still wide eyed until now. I know I'm attracted to him even though I haven't him. Although, when I started to train in his company and start to model, he's not the 'bad boy' that I usually read on the magazines that he's playing with girls. I object to that because he's nice, a gentleman, by the way.
"Margo? Earth to Margo!" Alec shouts at me snapping me from reality. He waves his hands in front of me, making me jump in shock.
"W-what?" I stutter, looking at him.
He sighs, saying, "Even though you're on dreamland, it doesn't mean you and Jamie have a date later, you'll completely ignore me."
I roll my eyes and say, "Shut up."
I lean on the kitchen island and look at my nails. Hadley suddenly runs inside the kitchen and throws the newspaper on the island, making Alec and I furrow our eyebrows at the same.
"You're on the goddamn newspaper!" Hadley exclaims, making Alec and I automatically cover our ears.
"Language!" My dad shouts from the living room, making Hadley roll her eyes.
"Look!" Hadley opens the newspaper. Alec sits beside me and I look at the newspaper, and I see a picture of me.
"Entertainment:
For the girls out there, remember single Jamie Grey? Our bad boy, Jamie Grey, the photographer, model, the hottie, has finally found a girl. Our Jamie hasn't dated for months that made girls curious because a hot guy like him gets a girl he wants, and today, we are finally saying that he's finally find a girl, who's a perfect girl for him," Hadley reads out loud. "That's you, right?" She points at the picture of Jamie and I waiting for our order in Starbucks.
Really? We haven't had our date yet. That's the only time that Jamie asked me if I could come with him to buy the crew some coffee. Lies!
"The lucky girl is Bethany Stacy; a model, a smart girl. She is the summa cum laude, with highest honors, of school year 2014-2015 of the George Washington College. She is currently modeling in Ashley Fitzgerald's clothing line and Mr. Logan Asher and Mr. Jamie is her photographers. Look out for our next issue where we'll going to get the juicy details of their relationship. Don't worry, girls, this girl might not be the one, so hold your horses." She ends, putting the paper down. "Are you two dating already?"
I retort, "We haven't had a nice dinner except for meetings and coffee breaks. We're too busy because we're focusing on our own job."
Alec laughs and Hadley scoffs, "Yeah right!"
I roll my eyes. "They lied. Jamie and I will have our date exactly," I stop and look at the clock. "Fifteen minutes"
Hadley laughs out loud and I realize.
"Oh my god! I haven't fixed myself!" I run upstairs and Alec and Ashley laughs out loud. I enter my room and take a short shower.
I hassle to wear my red dress. I slip on my white heels and look at myself in the mirror. I immediately pull on the iron curler and curl my hair. I got a few burns, but I manage to fix my hair. Suddenly, the doorbell rings and I curse loudly. I fix my purse and carefully run downstairs. I see Jamie talking to my parents and I smile.
"And there's Beth," My mother says. I mentally roll my eyes and don't scoff at her. I haven't had a normal conversation with her ever since she called me a whore.
