KILLING OUR DARLINGS

As another lover rebirths himself in poetry,

I am thrown into the world of typewriters and maladaptive daydreams.

I see a soliloquy;

My mind becomes a destroyer of my brain, bursting at its seams.

As every creative mind battles sanity,

A billion ideas amount to nothing in the eyes of that judgemental mentality.

Pen on paper yields my reality- It brings me serenity.

Oh, say you'll love me! My sweet honey-bee,

You're in my wonderland now, courtesy of me.
