🌌 welcoming Scare

"Could it be that they can't use magic?"

A voice mumbled.

"There's no way the black carriage would pick up a human who cannot use magic!"

The headmaster's voice bellowed out.

"In a hundred years, there has not been any mistake in the student selection. Why in the world..."

"Then give that seat to me!"

Grim says loosening the grip of the head mage's hold.

"Ah, wait! This raccoon!"

The monster then started to scurry around.

"Unlike that human over there, I can use magic! That's why, put me into the academy instead!"

Demanded he.

"If it's magic you want, I'll show you an extraordinary one now!"

The monster then proceeded to put things a blaze, with one simple motion.

"Everyone,take cover!"

At this point not everyone could
get out of harm's way.

So I opt to catch him since he was within arm's reach.

"Come back here, buddy!"

I leapt with my arms out...

"😶"

"Gotcha!"

Ever so slightly tapping his forehead, he was in my arms.

"Thank you!"

A person with ruby eyes, thanked, visibly saved in the nick of time, for he would've been set a blaze.

"Sure"

I hesitantly returned...

Looking around, students began to regroup.

"Are everyone else okay?"

Somebody questioned, since some weren't able to shield themselves from the scattered flames.

But, seemed like no one sustained any injuries at all.

"You should watch your familiar next time"

A guy, with bluish-grey eyes, sternly stated.

"....I will..."

I responded, nodding off.

"I'm not a familiar! let go of me, human. Or I'm gonna have to use my..."

The monster tried to use his fire magic, only to have nothing happen...

"?!!!!"

"W-what the, I can't use my magic?!"

"Well then... "

Crowley trailed

"There was a little trouble, but with this, the opening ceremony is closed. Each dorm leader, please bring the new students with you and go back to your dorm."
