(CLATTER!!)
The noise, came from the kitchen...
The lid, to the sugar cube container fell off...?
Smashing into tiny pieces scattering all over the wooden floor.
Strange enough though.
It seemed to have pulled me out, from that dazed state I was in.
Did that just really happen?
I never thought it get this bad....
Muttering, I was left conflicted, over my own reality.
Grabbing the broom and dustpan....
I proceeded to sweep up the multiple fragments of glass that scattered around, while trying my best to collect myself.

The shards dragged on the shabby floor...
skkk...
skkk...
Gathering all the small fragments of the lid into a pile, I later disposed of it in the bin.
Double checking afterwards, if I had missed any.
Finishing, I turned back around, walking over to the counter where the cubes were kept.
The jar was upright, lid gone of course....
And a quarter of its contents surrounding it.
Like... it was knocked over.
But somebody placed it back, on its end...
Sighing, I grabbed most of them, and plopped them all in.
The kitchen counters were clean anyways.
And a saucer will have to do for now....
Serving as an alternative covering, for the now lidless jar.
Reaching over to my right, I gazed at the bowls on the drying rack...
Sticking from behind, was a long, white, thin......
thing....
It could be, a weirdly shaped handle of a mug.....?
Intently looking at it once more.
It had tiny fibers.....
..sticking out.....
hair?
"!!!!"
I furthered myself, with haste, from the worktop.
"A mouse...!?"
I whispered, clasping my hands together.
"Mouse?! seriously, how dare you."
A voice emitted behind the bowls, plates, and cutlery.....
The being peeked out.
It really was indeed, a mouse.
"I'm a Borrower!"
