Danbi should've stayed at the library. She should've completed her assignment instead of coming here and coming face to face with him again. The devil she thought she had left in high school.

"Long time no see Bambi" Jihoon smirked, his hand loosely hanging around Asahi's shoulder and Danbi couldn't help but give a look of betrayal to the awkward Japanese near Jihoon.

God, even his voice annoyed her from the countless times he had called her that.

Park Jihoon. That one rascal that wouldn't stop annoying her since freshmen year. You see it was freshmen year orientation for high school, clueless fresh out of middle school Danbi that still wore pigtails was both excited and scared. Scared of her seniors and excited that her and Junkyu would finally be one step closer to graduating.

But all her dreams of getting on the good sides of all teachers and supervisors were crushed as soon as she bumped into Park Jihoon, who would then only continue to be a nuisance to her the rest of her high school life.

Bumping into Park Jihoon was a mistake that day.

Him spilling his chocolate milk on her white cardigan was entirely his stupidity. Danbi being Danbi didn't hesitate to pick up a fight with him when he refused to apologize and laughed at her with his friends.

Arguing with him suddenly turned into a fight when he pulled her pigtail, calling her cute. If it wasn't for Junkyu that day, Jihoon's face would be in shambles. She ended up getting into trouble alongside Jihoon for the fight that day.

And the rest of the four years only bought more trips to principals office with Jihoon and countless number of pranks and pure stupidity.

She thought she had finally shook him off in high school, she was now ready for a more mature world. But she was wrong. Seeing his face again made her want to go back to her immature pranks and annoying arguments all over again.

He looked different than he did in high school, even if it was a difference of few months since she had last seen him — he looked different now.

He lost the baby fat that he had, even looking a bit bulkier now and Danbi was sure he worked out during the past months. His style changed drastically, rather than the cringey hoodies he wore — he actually seemed to have a sense of style now. 

Now don't get Danbi wrong, he didn't dress that bad before but as a fashion student it was a shame that his wardrobe used to only consist of sweatpants and hoodies.

But it was different now. He wore a nice pair of jeans, with black sneakers underneath, a random graphic shit and a blue denim jacket on top. Danbi dare say he looked handsome but somewhere deep in her mind she knew he did.

Danbi was also a little jealous she didn't have her little glow up. Not that she was ugly and still is — No, that's not the case. Ha Danbi was always flawlessly pretty and attractive, with a good fashion sense. There wasn't any part of her that had to glow up.

Sure, now she could afford more fashionable clothing with her money rather than using her parents and having them critique every choice she bought. Now she only bought things that she loved and found pretty with no intruders adding exclamations of 'oh that's too short!' or 'oh no! that's body hugging you aren't wearing that'.

"Jihoon." Danbi gritted through her teeth once she was done checking him out assessing his glow up. "Were you checking me out? You know staring is rude right?" He cockily smiled as Danbi rolled her eyes.

She just wanted to sit down and eat, why was she dealing with a douchebag again?

"Good for me, I would rather sink in a well than stare at someone like you any longer" She pushed past him, scowling at Yujin as she sat beside her. "Oh come on! Bambi are we continuing this rival thing through college too?" Jihoon settled down on the table, guess where? yes, right across Danbi.

She cursed at Junkyu with her eyes for not taking the place across her quicker than Jihoon did but he was too busy catching up with his student council buddy Mashiho to notice.

"I had to chop my hair till my ear because you decided to put glue in my hair!" Danbi scoffed, brushing her middle neck lengthened hair behind her ear. It was really a shame that Danbi had to cut her well kept hair that had grown till her middle back to her ear just because Jihoon decided to be bitch right before graduation.

Worst part, Danbi couldn't do anything to him as revenge after that because the next time they met was in graduation and she wasn't gonna ruin that for herself even if she had to click pictures with her hair in an awfully short length.

"I apologized for that" Jihoon pouted as Danbi glared at him, "You didn't." She spat back. That's the thing no one ever apologized to each other after their pranks, it was like an ego sacrifice if they ever did.

And none of them wanted to do that. Even now.

"How about we forget about the past?" Yujin butted in before Jihoon could say another word. "I though Hyewon came here with you, where is she?" Danbi asked as she glanced at the girl sitting beside her.

"Well, she met Hyunsuk again." And those words were enough for Danbi to ignore Hyewon's disappearance.

Kang Hyewon and Choi Hyunsuk, famously known as the HyeHyun couple in high school. They were the 'it' couple in high school, always around each other's hips. That was until senior year when Hyewon's mom found out and hell spiraled from there.

Hyewon always had a controlling mom, her mom used to always say focus on school now and date in college if you want. Her mom wasn't wrong but at the same time she was too controlling, even when Hyewon and Hyunsuk were really meant for each other.

Hyewon's mom being a teacher at the same school for the middle schoolers made sure Hyewon and Hyunsuk never talked again after that, even through text though their friend groups were more than sweet to exchange noted between the two.

Somewhere in between Hyewon promised they'd meet later and told Hyunsuk to wait for her. Fast forward to graduation, Hyewon missed it due to her brother's wedding.

During the months between the start of college and school, Hyewon was in America for a vacation. She missed college orientation too. And when she was finally back in Korea, she couldn't find any trace of Hyunsuk.

That was until today.

"The Romeo and Juliet are back with each other" Jaehyuk laughed from beside Jihoon as Danbi shook her head sighing. If they don't get back together now, she was going throw a fit.

"Danbi, I heard you're fashion major now" Yedam gave her a smile as Danbi nodded, "Wow, was the criteria for fashion major only visuals and not brains" Jihoon piped in as she shot him a glare.

Did he call her pretty? yes.

But was Danbi going to overlook that and pick a fight? yes.
