vi. enemies to lovers arc

It was weird how even the gods had done a favor for Danbi, Hyewon and Hyunsuk had everyone gather up at kfc near the campus because they were hungry and didn't want to be alone.

Which meant one thing, Danbi and Jihoon would have the time of their lives today afternoon. Danbi had managed to convince Asahi to let her come with him alongside Junkyu and two of Jihoon's friends Yedam and Yena.

Once they arrived at kfc, it didn't take them long to notice the somewhat big group sitting at the end. Danbi gave Jihoon a smile, settling in the empty seat beside him. Jihoon masked his laugh with a smirk, throwing his arm to rest on the back of Danbi's chair — and oh did their friends notice.

Yedam gave Jihoon a knowing look, sitting beside Mashiho as everybody looked confused at Danbi and Jihoon's sudden paring. "I can't bear the elephant in the room, what the fuck is wrong with both of you?" Yujin asked, genuinely concerned on how they even managed to be nice with each other.

Jihoon turned to look at Danbi with a raised eyebrow as if challenging her to make up the stupidest shit ever. "We realized we miss understood each other back in high school" She turned to look at him with a sickeningly sweet smile.

Jihoon couldn't help but crack a smile too softly ruffling her hair before turning back to the group who was watching with shocked faces. Danbi couldn't help but admit the action did make her heart flutter a bit, wether it was the lack of touch she had received or the fact that Jihoon was just that attractive it did make her cheeks tint a small pink.

"I- that's- that's not possible you're Park Jihoon and Ha Danbi, the I fucking hate you duo" Yena stuttered as Danbi sent her a small smile before turning to look at Jihoon with lovesick eyes. Eyes that fooled even her own friends into thinking what the fuck happened to Danbi?

Asahi sat there in pure shock, when he meant take Jihoon's pranks lightly eh didn't mean fall head over heels for you enemy? Maybe enemies to lovers arc does exist.

There came the flow of questions, from both their friend groups. "Did you guys go on a date?" "Do you guys have a blood contract or something?" "This must be fake." "I think I shifted into another reality" "Jihoon and Danbi? Yeah that's it god it's time to take me up"

Jihoon and Danbi exchanged glances as if to say 'What the fuck did we get ourselves into?'. Danbi pulled herself off her chair, much to the dismay of the people surrounding her. "Yeah we'll be back in a few." She awkwardly laughed as she pulled on Jihoon's sleeve.

The boy soon enough got the message, pulling himself off his chair as he followed Danbi out the door. Once they were standing outside the restaurant and away from the view of their friends, Danbi turned around bursting out into laughter as Jihoon leaned against the wall holding his stomach as he doubled over.

"You were right this is too funny!" Jihoon exclaimed as he glanced at Danbi who was laughing. Her giggles were like music to his ears, why did he never notice how pretty she looked when she laughed?

His laugh died down into a smile as he watched her, the girl wiping the tears near her eyes as she took a breath. She watched as Jihoon stepped closer, their bodies practically touching. Danbi looked up to the boy with a smile, briefly looking at something behind him.

"How long do you want to do this for?" Jihoon asked with a smile as she laughed, placing her hands on Jihoon's shoulder. "Until they find out?" She said as Jihoon looked away smiling. "Oh by the way at least five of our friends are pressing their faces against the glass to see what we're doing" She said as Jihoon's laugh echoed through the air.

"Let's give them something to look at then?" He suggested with a raised eyebrow as he pulled Danbi in by the waist and rested his chin on her shoulder, hugging her. Danbi froze, she had never been this close to him before. She was worried he could feel her loudly beating heart.

She still blamed it on her lack of touch but she knew it was more than that. She had turned a blushing red as his cologne filled her senses. Yet she wrapped her hands around him smiling at the feeling of Jihoon's giggles getting muffled into her top.

She glanced at the glass window of the restaurant, shoving her face deeper into Jihoon's jacket to hide her smile when she saw Yena and Yujin hitting each other while squealing as Junkyu held a fainting Yedam with Yoshi staring in pure horror.
