"You really f***ed me up"

-Vaultboy, aftermath

...

Just as the letter had instructed, I arrived at the office building of VISION Entertainment. I looked around in awe. It has tall ceilings and glass plated on every wall. There were hoards of people running around while holding stacks of papers, the place seemed ever bustling as you felt lost in the never ending corridors of the lobby area. As I was admiring, I saw someone waiting at the lobby, and when they noticed me they waved me over. I hastily made my way over to them.

"Good morning! You must be Ms Y/N? I am Skylar, the head security of VISION and I would just like to say welcome. I am so excited to meet a fellow business worker in the music industry. Man, it is hard to find a female manager. I'm so sorry. Now I will not talk a lot because you have work to do...Let's go!" The very excited lady immediately led me to the venue.

As she was leading me to the place, she kept rambling on about the company and what not as we entered the elevator.

It wasn't annoying, it was actually kinda cute but suddenly, she stopped and she turned to look at me apologetically.

"I am so sorry for talking non stop Ms Y/N. I have a habit of doing this"

"That's alright, it's kinda cute." She immediately blushed furiously and it made me go all soft and sweet over her, but on the inside of course.

"Miss...Y/N?"

"Just call me Y/N hmm since we are friends."

She smiled and nodded.

"Y/N? I want to know how you got into this industry. You don't seem like a very businessy type of person?." She was pleading.

I giggled and shaked my head,

"Really? I am surprised. I never thought to be in this field of work but here I am."

"Is that a personal question? I am sorry...."

I smiled a little and shook my head

"....Why don't you tell me about your favourite place in this building?"

Skylar immediately beamed brightly as she continued her ramble.

"And then..."

The elevator dinged at the moment she wanted to continue her wild dream about her becoming a secret spy agent with a talking dog as her sidekick. She groaned disappointingly as she opened the door to the CEO office, of course not forgetting to knock first.

"Miss Y/N is here, sir."

There was a brief moment of silence when,

"Thank you Miss Skylar. Leave us be."

The man standing with his back turned said with her deep, yet soothing voice. He sounded so familiar yet I couldn't put my finger on it.

As he turned around, my eyes went wide as if it was going to come out of the socket. He looked coldly towards me as his hands were in his pockets.

"Won't you come in?"

I knew...the story wasn't over.

"Have a seat, Ms Park," He looked through some documents while I just stood there, unable to process the situation. His words were muffled in my head as I continued to look at him.

"Ms Park?" He called out to me, and I quickly composed myself.

"Y-yes sorry," I went to sit down in front of his desk shakily.

He then looked me right in the eye, and I couldn't look away nor could I feel any emotion in his eyes.

"Tae-"

"I'm sorry but you're not cut out for the job,"

A wave of confusion washed over me.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean exactly that, I'm not signing the contract so you can leave, Ms Park," He continued doing his own things while talking, as though it's a matter not worth his attention.

I frowned, feeling my anger rise.

"Then why was I called down here,"

"It was a mistake, Ms Park. I'm sorry for the inconvenience,"

Then, I felt something in me snap. I stood up,

"I didn't know the renowned CEO of VISION could make such grave mistakes,"

"Mind your words Ms Park."

I glared at him, unsure of why he was treating me this way but I didn't want anyone to trample over me like that.

"I hope you realise that I was invited here to help your company. NOT TO COME HERE TO BE INSULTED BY SOMEONE WITH NO CLASS."

He smirked which made my anger rise even more.

"You are just someone doing paperwork. Not some famous journalist or actor or even CEO, Ms Park."

"I am a successful business woman, running a company, Mr Kim."

"But it's not as well recognised as mine Ms Park."

I stood up immediately from my seat and took my laptop, storming away. Was this his way of saying that he changed?

As I walked away from the company, I heard Taehyung mutter something, but I was too furious to even hear what he said.
