As a wise man once said

"...Please remember that I consider canon to be a suggestion at best and if anything here contradicts canon, no it doesn't. I'm the captain now..."

So uhm. I was re-reading some parts of the story and realized I never officially made Seremi canon. WHOOPS. I've literally implied it so much I'm not really sure how to smooth this out.

Trigger warning: Accidental outings (to one person and the person outed was not present), unintentional misgendering, jokes about s^icide/mild s^icide idealization, food/eating (not very detailed description).
(This chapter isn't as bad as it sounds I swear lol)

Blyke hadn't meant to snoop. It's just, John's computer was right there, and, in his defense, he's been hanging out with Isen a lot lately. Really, it was almost fate that he'd sit down at their kitchen table and very carefully press the spacebar, effectively opening up the computer (It wasn't even locked!)

Blyke was very quickly reminded why snooping is generally frowned upon.

How to tell your friends your trans

How to come out as a trans man

How to tell people your trans

trans men

Oh god am I actually trans

Oh. Oh. Well shit.

Blyke quickly slapped the computer closed and decided that going for a run was a very good idea. He got up and dashed towards the dorm door before exiting the dorms altogether, trying hard to ignore the thoughts practically begging for his attention. He ran a safe bit away from Wellston before he allowed his thoughts to take over.

"Johns trans?"

"Fuck, he's never gonna forgive me if he found out I was snooping and discovered that"

"What now?"

"He passes so well"

"I wonder if I ever could too"

The last thought felt like it hit Blyke in the chest and made an uncomfortable hope swell in it at the same time.

He doubted it.

His hair was always going to be too short.

His chest was always going to be too flat.

His features were always going to be too defined.

He was always going to have the wrong parts.

He was always going to be seen as a he.

"-yke?"

There was no way around it, Blyke was always going to look like a man (always going to be a man) and that's something he'd accepted a long time ago.

"Blyke?"

Always going to be named Blyke.

"Blyke!"

Blyke snapped his head up, eyes widening upon seeing Arlo. As usual, Arlo had his face schooled into a neutral expression, but Blyke could see the small inflections that screamed to anyone who knew him well that he was worried.
