Imagine: Jake comes home with bruises lining his face. Concerned you ask him what happened, when a knock pounds from behind your door.
[BLOOD WARNING]
[Word Count: 1142]

It had been a long day and all you wanted was to see your loving boyfriend again. Unfortunately, he was out working, fortunately he would be back any second. So, there you sat by yourself waiting to feel the warm embrace of your partner once more. In he came slamming the door behind him causing you to jolt up from the couch, blood dripped onto to floor as he hurried his way to the bathroom. He closed the door behind him and you heard the locking sound soon after. Quietly you sat for a few moments as the sound of rummaging sounded from the bathroom. Slowly you made your way to the door pressing your ear against it to try and gage what was happening.
"Jake?" You questioned lightly knocking on the door with your knuckle. The door swung open and there he stood a face full of cuts and bruises. Your eyes widened at this, but he shook it off moving past you and to the front door locking it tightly.
"What happened? What's going on?" No answer. He had a tendency to try and take care of everything by himself. Finally you planted yourself in front of him a sour expression pressed on your face. He peered down at you with a frustrated sigh as he held paper in place to stop his nose  from bleeding.
"Whats going on?" He grit his teeth pressing his tongue against his cheek to try think. Finally his eyes settled back on you when he came up with a good enough excuse.
"I fell." Was all he said which got a laugh out of you for sure.
"You fell, and busted your face up that bad? Come on, I'm not an idiot. What the hell is happening?"
"Damnit, I don't have time for this." He shot around you closing all of the blinds in your apartment, when a knock rang out from behind the door. You stepped towards it but he stopped you, placing a hand on your chest and looking down at you. Slowly he removed the bloodied paper from his nose and cracked it back into place. He shifted his gaze to you and motioned to the side with his head.
"Go to the bathroom and lock the door." You shook your head peering up at him with a scowl. He glared down at you before grabbing your arm softly, yet forcefully. Dragging you to the bathroom he looked down at you with concern.
"Lock the door." Was all he stated before closing it, you could tell he was serious so you did what you were told and locked the door. On the otherside of the door Jake unlocked the front and opened it peering out the small slit. There stood two men who seemed far more bloodied then him. A smirk cascaded over his face at the sight of them and he moved the door slightly more ajar. This allowed the two men to step in, the walked through your joint home peering at the various decorations and pictures scattered about.
"Who's this-?" Questioned one of the men referring to a picture of you Jake kept on his nightstand. He snatched the picture from the stranger placing it face down on the nightstand.
"None of your business. What the hell do you want?" The other of the two strangers walked to the bathroom door jimmying the handle. Jake stepped in shoving his hand away glaring at the two and repeating his question. They didn't answer, instead pointed to the locked door with furrowed brows.
          "Is she in there?"
           "Who?"
"The woman from the picture." Jake shook his head and gained a sad expression looking away.
"No, she's not in my life anymore. You gonna tell me why you're here?" With the men took their leave, as if that sentence had been what they were looking for. Perhaps they wanted to know if anyone would go looking for Jake if he happened to go missing. Perhaps they were trying to look for his weak spot. Either way they were gone now, and nothing else mattered. Jake made his way to the front door looking it again before practically sprinting to the bathroom one.
"Alright they're gone." He stated causing you to unlock the door and glare up at him. Each hand placed on a hip as you glared up, obviously wanting an explanation. He nodded as if to say I know. Before you could say anything you pulled you into a warm kiss, which needless to say startled you. You held the kiss for a few moments before pulling away. He moved some strands of hair from your face gazing at you for a moment. He almost looked tearful, and yet you still had no clue as to what was going on.
"We're through." Was all he said, this sent a shock up your spine. The only thing that described the feeling in your stomach was pain. He began walking away grabbing your bags from the closet. You hurried following after him with a concerned expression.
"What? What happened?" You paused trying to stop your tears.
"Did I do something wrong?" He whipped his head around obviously trying to hold back tears himself. Sighing he set the bags down taking your hands, he bit the inside of his lip before gaining his composure. A scowl appeared on his face as he shifted his gaze back over to you.
"I'm bored. So, we're through. Pack your shit and leave." He picked the bags up and shoved them into you before turning to face the opposite direction.
"I need all of your things out by tomorrow. I'm having people over." He turned his head slightly to glare down at you, you stood there completely speechless. Eventually, you started gathering your things silently, this seemed to get on his nerves.
"Will you say something? Anything?" You shot a glare at him, confusion clouding your judgement, but all you did was cry. Surprising both you and Jake you burst into tears continuing to pack your things as you cried. He wasn't sure what to do, he couldn't comfort you, despite how much he wanted to. All he could do was sit there and watch, trying desperately to tune your sobs out. Eventually you finished packing most of your things and left without a word. You weren't sure why he would do something like this, what had you done? What could you have done better? All this was stopped when two men stopped you on the street. You didn't recognize them but they seemed nice enough. Although you didn't know them, they seemed all too eager to know you..
