You were on you bed, reading a novel adaptation of your favorite childhood movies while the dim light of the table lamp shone on the pages. It was nearly 11pm, Bandu, your roommate and friend, was out trying to help Bambi with some things and you were waiting for him to come back.

You continued flipping each page, reading the book to pass the time. The quiet sound of the clock ticking was the only sound in the room next to the sounds of the pages. You couldn't be bothered to even go downstairs to get a glass of warm water to satisfy your dehydration, you were comfortable in your spot and didn't feel like moving. You just wanted Bandu to come back already so you could talk to him.

The clock hands moved unsteadily as you heard an owl chirping outside. You narrowed your eyes and sighed. Just then, Bandu came barging in. He looked tired.

"You're back!" You exclaimed. "Mhmm.." he mumbled tiredly, trying to look busy by playing with his hat. He climbed onto the bed sleepily and laid his head on your shoulder, pouting. This made you fluster a little. You had quite a small crush on Bandu, but you couldn't admit it... At least around people that knew Bandu. Especially that stupid used tampon named Expunged.

Bandu yawned, looking down at the book in your hands. "...what are you reading?" He asked. "A novel adaptation of some old childhood show I watched," you responded. "What's so interesting about it...?" He asked yet again. "I dunno, I guess I just really like it for some reason," you responded. "Stoooop reading it," Bandu nagged. "Pay attention to meeeeee."

Yeah, he was definitely half asleep.

You shut the book and sighed. "Yay!" He exclaimed. How is he not fully asleep yet? You thought that he didn't even know what he was doing or saying, for that matter.

"Do you love me?" He suddenly asked out of nowhere. You raised an eyebrow, surprised. "...seriously, Bandu? Out of all the things you could of asked me?" you sighed. "I'm not half asleep, by the way.." he corrected your thoughts as if he read your mind. "What the?!" you said in unison. "No way outta this one! You neeeeed to tell me!" He exclaimed.

"Okay, fine! I uh.. I don't like you! I don't even know what makes you think I love you anyway," you lied out of fear he would find out about your feelings for him, though your words look like they struck Bandu pretty badly. "Huh? You don't?" He asked. You nodded afraidly, not wanting your lie to be seen through.

It looked like a small tear slipped out of his eye. "H-Huh? But-" he stuttered. "Wouldn't that mean you're re- OOPS, I mean.. Uh..."

Awkward silence immediately arose between you and your other roommate. Both of you looked equally afraid to do anything.

"Okay fine, I lied..." you finally admitted after so many months, cowering and cringing over your thoughts. "I.. I like you. I want to take this to the next level.. Uhm.. Yeah."

"What.. Level?" He tilted his head to one side, blushing hardly. "Because.. I.. Want something from you... And you know exactly what. You know.. That.. Thing... That starts with an s..?"

Your eyes immediately widened, you never thought that it was like THAT on his own side. "I... Yeah, I want to do.. That, with you," he admitted embarrassingly, on the urge of bawling his eyes out. "But- yes, I love you too.."

He sniffled a bit while you pulled him into your arms and holding him in your embrace. "It's okay, but maybe not now... Expunged wouldn't be too happy about that," you blushed with a smile while you both cuddled.

"I love you, Bandu. See you tomorrow."
"I love you too!"

You planted a kiss on his forehead before drifting off to sleep.
