Mum's funeral lasted an hour, and this includes the luncheon afterwards. What has made this whole event even harder was leaving dad, and both sets of grandparents behind, Knowing that Abel and I won't probably see them again unless we are given the same pass by the government when they die like we were today. The entire ride toward home, Mylo and Callie are in their car, and Kade is riding with Able, and both cars are following us toward our hometown, and I cannot stop sobbing.

"I don't know why I am being so emotional! I am sorry you have to deal with me," I cry raggedly as I stare down at my folded hands on my lap. "I am trying to stop, I promise."

"You are allowed to cry and be emotional, love," Axel gently says as he reaches across the arm rest to gently take a hold of my right in his left with a gentle squeeze. "You are being emotional because your mum passed, and I don't "deal" with you. I am with you because I want to be with you."

Sniffling, I search his pretty eyes for any dishonesty, and I find none. Slowly nodding, I fight with myself internally as I try to accept his answer. We spend the drive in silence except for the low volume of music playing from the radio. Lying my head against the door window, I am asleep within seconds for the remainder of the drive.

I don't even wake when we arrive home at the Inn, or when Axel carries me inside to my room. Abel unlocked my door, so Axel could carry me inside, and lye me under the covers, and pulls of my socks and pants. When I wake sometime later, I am confused as to why I am extremely hot, and way more comfortable than I remember my bed ever being. Blinking the sleep from my eyes rapidly, trying to clear the sleep from my eyes and brain, I realize my pillow is breathing.

Lifting my head up slightly and tilting back, I find myself starring at Axel's sleeping face. His eyes are closed, twitching slightly in his dreams. His face is completely relaxed, no stress lines around his eyes and mouth. His lips are slightly upturned in a tiny smile.

"Starring isn't nice," Axel mumbles as his lips fully upturn into a full smile as his eyes crack open a small amount to look at me.

Cue the instant blush as I weakly mumble; "I wasn't starring. You are imagining things."

His smile turns into a grin as he uses the tip of his free forefinger to brush the hair from my forehead; "Sure you weren't. I will let you have your delusion."

Raising my eyebrow at him silently, he returns the gesture for a second before softly kissing my forehead. When he pulls back he gently asks; "How are you doing this morning?"

Biting my lower lip as I shrug my shoulders; "I dunno. I am numb, and I don't think the fact of the situation has fully sunk in yet."

"That is understandable, and perfectly fine, baby," he returns with a ghost of a smile. "When this fully settles, just know I will be here for you."

"Thank you," I murmur with misty eyes as I tilt my head back slightly to kiss the corner of his mouth in appreciation. "I don't wanna get up just yet, do you mind if we cuddle for a few more minutes?"

Axel's P.O.V.

Even if he wasn't processing his mum's death, I wouldn't or couldn't deny his request to cuddle in bed longer. Pulling him closer to my side with a murmur; "Absolutely, I am happy to cuddle you longer."

"Thanks for everything," he murmurs as he settles the side of his face onto my peck with a soft sigh while he drapes his arm across my stomach.

Kissing the top of his head as we settle comfortably back into the mattress, I love that we are comfortable enough with each other without the need to constantly talk.

"Alright, we should get up now," Arrow sighs about twenty minutes later as he detaches himself from my side, and climbs over me to climb off the bed.

"Okay," I sigh as I climb off the bed behind him.

I will admit that I starred at his round, firm ass that is only encased in a pair of tight bright red boxer-briefs. He is bent forward at the waist at his dresser while he searches for lean clothes.

"Enjoying the view, I hope?" Arrow chuckles as he wiggles his ass at me while turning his face toward me around his arm with a tiny smile.

"Yes, I am actually," I laugh with a wink. "Thanks for the view."

"Anytime, babe, anytime," he giggles as he stands with clothes in his hands as he walks toward his bathroom to shower and change.

"Hey, I am gonna go shower and change in my room quickly, and I will be back!" I call out to him since the bathroom door is shut.

"Okay! Please hurry though, I would like to have breakfast with you before we start work!" he calls back much to my surprise.

Frowning at him since I thought he was taking today off because of yesterday; "Okay!"

Leaving his room toward mine, I take a quick shower, change, brush my teeth and hair before heading back to Arrow's. His room is three down from mine which is nice. Arriving back at his, he lets me in, and he is fresh from the shower, and already dressed in his work clothes.

"Hey, let's go eat, I am hungry," he chirps completely confusing me by his sudden happiness.

I am not sure if he is truly happy, faking it because he thinks he has to be, or is blocking out what happened with his mum. Leaving the room behind him, we head toward the kitchen on the main floor, so we can grab breakfast. Entering the kitchen, we find granpa, the staff, Kade, Abel, Mylo, and Callie.

"What are you guys doing here?" Arrow questions as he grabs two plates, and he hands me one before he starts filling his.

Everyone stares at him slack-jawed as Abel answers for them; "We are here to spend the day with you and Axel. Why are you dressed for work?"

Arrow frowns at his brother as he stops getting food: "Why would we do that? Not that the idea isn't appealing, but Axel and I have work today."
