I woke up the following day to water running in my bathroom. It's been two weeks since Kyle broke up with Ivy. I was so glad to wake up to him finally, and he did not rush off.

"Good morning," I greeted Kyle.

"Morning, baby," he spoke, coming out of the bathroom. "How are you feeling?" He came over wrapped in his towel. He bent down in front of me to rub my belly.

"I feel good. Why are you up so early?" I asked him.

"It's 8:45. Your appointment is at 11, baby."

"Oh, crap! Baby, I forgot."

I was so excited about Kyle being here that I forgot all about my appointment. I jumped up in a hurry. Why did I do that? I thought to myself.

"Whoa, baby," Kyle halted me in my tracks. "We still got time. Go take a shower, and I'll fix you breakfast."

"Thank you, Kyle. You're so amazing."

I got up and proceeded to the bathroom. Today was my 20-week check-up. Today we were finding out what we're having. I was hoping for a girl.

Kyle cooked me an excellent breakfast this morning-spinach, ham, and cheese omelet, with toast and bacon. It was so good. I didn't even know he could cook. He was usually gone before breakfast. After breakfast, he washed the dishes and wiped down the counters. I was happy to be experiencing this side of him.

We left out around 10:30. The drive was only about 15 minutes. I took a seat while Kyle signed me in. We waited for ten minutes before they called us to the back.

"Ms. Thompson, how are you today?" Dr. Wilson asked.

"I'm doing good, Dr. Wilson," I responded.

"I'm Dr. Wilson. You must be the dad?" She asked Kyle.

"Yes, ma'am. Kyle Carter," he answered.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Carter. So we're here for that 20-week check-up?" She asked, setting up the ultrasound machine.

"Yes, ma'am," I replied.

"Have you been feeling any movements?" I just nodded my head. "Great. Now is when the baby is starting to get a little wiggly inside. You're going to feel a lot more in the coming weeks. If you don't feel movements at any time, please come in so we can check you."

"Yes, ma'am," I answered.

"What about her working, Dr. Wilson? She's on her feet a lot." Kyle asked.

I was still working with Saint at the trap. I didn't wanna give it up yet. I also work at Candyland as a bartender. So, yeah, I am on my feet a lot.
