Psalmist's POV

I was loving life here with Tyson. He made sure that I was taken care of. I never wanted anything. I did have my business. Sure it gets lonely whenever he goes back home, but I know for a fact he will always come back to me. One thing about it is I don't have to worry about Tyson cheating on me. He's not like Damien. He is sweet. He is genuine, and he's not checking for any other female, but me.

He was on his way back from Charlotte. I don't know what they got going on, but I really am worried about him getting hurt. I can only imagine how bad the streets are. Then he's over there stirring up bullshit. I just try to be his peace.

While I waited for Tyson, I decided to cook for him. I did smothered pork chops, asparagus, baked potatoes, and dinner rolls. The house was smelling amazing. I could hear a car pulling into the driveway. I knew it was Tyson. I got excited. I was ready to see him.

"Skittles, I'm home, baby," I heard Tyson say.

I ran into the living room to greet him. "Hey, baby," I said to him.

"Hey, beautiful," he said. He kissed me and caressed my body. "It smells good in here. What you cooking?"

"I cooked smother pork chops, asparagus, baked potatoes, and dinner rolls."

"Damn baby that sounds good. I'm about smash," he said laughing.

"Go shower and get cleaned up first. It's not quite ready yet."

Once he ran off I went back to finish cooking. My phone started ringing. I couldn't imagine who would be calling me at this number.

"Hello," I answered.

"Misty, what the fuck! Where the hell are you?" I hear Clint fussing at me.

"Dammit, Scar, how did you get my number?"

"I have my ways. Why the fuck you got a damn Tennessee number?"

I had my number switched to TN so if they were to look for me that's where they'll look first. Nothing in Virginia is attached to Psalmist Jeans. So if they Google that name, they're gonna come up with a fake address in TN with this phone number. The only thing in TN associated with my new name is my bank account.

"I'm in hiding, Scar. Saint is tryna kill me." I was lying, but he don't know that. Maybe this will piss him off more so that he will kill Damien. "Please don't let anyone know you found me."

"Why didn't you come to me? You just ran?"

"Look, after he came by the house and threatened me, I wasn't taking any chances. I packed up and left."

"Give me your address, Mist. Let me come to you."

"Scar, no! I'm fine okay. I promise I'm safe."

"You so damn stubborn, girl. Look, stay outta dodge. I'll check back in a few days."

"Scar, don't try to find me. Please!?" I said again. Even though if he looked he can't find me.

"Ugh, fine, Mist," he stated, sounding agitated.

"Look, Scar, I love you," I responded. "Just know that I'm good."

"Aight, and I love you too," he replied back.

We said our goodbyes and hung up. Once I turned around, I noticed Tyson standing there. He sacred the hell outta me.

"Dammit, Tyson. You scared me. How long you been standing there?"

"Who was that on the phone?" he asked me.

"That was Scar," I answered.

"Good, my plan worked," he said walking up to me.
