This is wrong… Why am I falling for him?
T-That’s crazy. No—I'm crazy!

You kept muttering to yourself, your feet pounding against the ground as you ran aimlessly through the night. The cool air hit your face, mixing with the warmth of the tears threatening to spill from your eyes. You bit your lip, trying hard to hold them back.

It was stupid. It was so stupid. You were crying over a demon flirting with other girls.

Why are you acting like this over something so small…?
No. This isn’t small.

He’s not human. You had to keep reminding yourself of that.

He’s a monster. A creature born from darkness.
Demons devour people. They kill without mercy. They don’t love. They can’t love.

And yet… you forgot all of that when you looked at him.
You treated him like he was human. Like he was yours.

Am I jealous? Is that what this is…?

Your spiraling thoughts were abruptly cut off by a deep, smooth voice.

“Well, well… What’s a lovely lady like you doing out here all alone at night?”

Startled, you looked up—and your eyes met the sharp, confident gaze of a tall man with stark white hair and a flamboyant flair.

“You’re Y/n, right?”

You blinked. “Y-Yes. You’re Uzui-san…”

He was alone, walking calmly through the streets of the Red Light District. You felt flustered under his gaze and quickly made up an excuse.

“Uhm… my partner went to get something. He’ll be back soon,” you said, fidgeting with the hem of your sleeve.

Uzui raised an eyebrow. “He left someone as beautiful as you alone out here? That’s careless.” He gave you a teasing grin.

You forced a smile. “I’m alright… really,” you replied softly, trying to compose yourself.

“Then how about a walk to clear your head?” he offered. Something in his tone was warm—concerned, even.

You hesitated, then nodded. “Okay.”

As you walked side by side in comfortable silence, Uzui stole subtle glances at you. Something was off—he could tell. There was a strange spiritual weight around you. Your aura was clouded, tainted by something… demonic.

He knew he had a mission to focus on. But still… something about you stirred his instincts.

“Y/n-chan,” he finally said, a little more serious.

But before he could finish, a familiar hand gripped yours tightly.

Your heart stopped.

“D-Douma-san…?”

He was suddenly beside you, his expression unreadable—calm, but his rainbow eyes were fixed directly on Uzui. Tension crackled in the air.
