Now I'm thirty something..I'm not keeping track anymore. Sam isn't far behind. We just found and killed, well, I don't know. But it was gnarly. Oh yea, a which I think. We were half-way across the country by now, far away from Rocket's. But I needed a good meal. Burgers from anywhere else just didn't taste right.

"Gosh, those hex bags are hard to find sometimes," Sam,usin' that head again, waited to talk until we checked out of the run-down motel and climbed into the Impala. "Do you think I can drive once?" I shot him a nasty look. "This car is my baby, Sam." He smirked. "Maybe that's why no girl calls you back." I hit his arm. But it's no use, I'm only playing and he is taller (and most likely stronger) than me now.

He attempted to switch out the cassette that was currently in the player. I slapped his hand. "Can you at least turn it down? In getting a headache and AC/DC doesn't help it very much." I grunted and wagged a finger at him. "Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole!" He rolled those puppy dog eyes at me and looked out his window. "Where are we headed?" He shifted his head toward me. I glared back at him. "Our makeshift home, where we've been goin' forever but we still don't know anybody's names. I think we need a break from all of this voodoo-Hoodoo shit." He chuckled. "Great."

It took a couple of sleeps in the car,but we finally arrived. The car doors closed in slight unison behind us. I love it when that happens. Then, I creaked the door open and watched the rickety bell ring over my head. "Gah, Memories!" My arms flung open. "Heyyy.." I peered at the cashier's name tag. "Jessie."

" Hello. Welcome to Rocket's Diner. May I take your order?" Oh one of these young dweebs."Yea um, a double bacon cheese burger and a, umm, salad for my brother here." Sam waved. "That'll be $14.70" Sam scrunched up his face. "That's a slow reaction to my burger!" I joked. "No, I don't get why they've gotta be so expensive. That's all." He shrugged his stiff shoulders. I copied him as I grabbed our food.

Yeah, there's no place like home.
