Annalise sat on the edge of her seat, constantly biting her fingernails. She was terrified. While Andreas sat beside her, cool as a cucumber.
A soft whimper escapes her as she looks down, setting her fingers on her lap, crying.
The man was very cruel. He would go to any extent for his satisfaction and since the time he had seen her, it had been to hurt her. He Tod her he would kill her slowly and he had been successful enough.
Was it?
The end?
Before she could even realize it, the car came to a smooth halt. She shot her eyes up and looked around to see Andreas already out the door. He quickly moved to her side and pulled the door open.
Sliding his arms underneath her knees and back, he carried her up in bird style as if she weighed nothing. Annalise just stared at him with her welled-up eyes while he just had a playful grin on his face.
The poor girl sniffed and tried to push him away but he held her closer and stopped midway.
"Scared kitten?" He asked. His words were as if mockery.
He used to call her kitten all the way in the beginning but had stopped once he started developing feelings for this girl.
Lise just gulped at stared at him praying he let her go.
But he just smirked and walked inside. It was then Annalise looked that he had actually brought her to a restaurant. It was roughly in the afternoon sometime, to have lunch.
Anna just looked around at some of the people who were whispering and something staring at them with wide eyes. She hated attention and this was hitting her anxiety. With her always being on the sidelines, this sort of attention in a posh restaurant as such, it was getting her nervous. Her stomach dropped and the heat of embarrassment crawled up her cheeks.
Trying to hide her face, she lowers her eyes in those thick lashes of hers. Something Andreas was quick to notice. A small smile made up his lips but he was quick to hide it.
Taking her in he stopped by a large table of men and some women. They all snapped their heads at Andreas scrutinizing him and the girl he was carrying.
"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen," Andreas dressed them formally. Annalise sensing a large number of eyes on her, almost buried her face into Andreas's white shirt. She didn't like the fact that this man was carrying her around. She just didn't feel comfortable with him no matter what he did.
"Come on Andreas, have a seat." She heard a gruff and old-like voice.
Andreas nodded and the waiter pulled out a chair for him, on which he carefully made Lise sit.
As soon as Andreas let her go, she looked down, fisting the fabric of her dress, too ashamed to meet anyone's eyes. She was used to moving around in a wheelchair and the stare she got when they saw her in one, but this was in no way similar to that.
Here, people were super sophisticated and she could easily send the disgusted looks they threw her way.
The innocence in her prompted all sorts of negative tights. Being called a whore by this vile of a man actually made her think if she was one. he had affected her mentally. She wondered if these people around them thought of her the same way.
Andreas sat beside her and she felt alone. Trapped in this world of rich people. Based on what she had glanced around, she knew that he had brought her to see a place that was way up her alley. She had neither seen nor been to a place like this before.
May and Annalise lived a simple life. Annalise was happy with whatever she got and May was also content with the way she brought up her child. Annalise didn't expect any fancy things and just would occasionally whine about the unhealthy, carb-loaded burger from burger king.
