The past

Her laughter echoed and I saw her hair sway.
She wore a beautiful red dress and white shoes.
She sucked on a popsicle and her tongue was partially blue because of it.
It was teeth-chattering cold but seemed like she loved popsicles.

Victor Accardi was immediately smitten by the girl in red while taking a stroll in New York's central park, on a January.

Victor had been married for 3 years now and both he and his wife, Teresa were unhappy. Due to the toxic mafia family traditions, they were forced together. Bound as one yet were miles apart.

Victor hadn't looked at his wife the way a man should. He gave her everything she ever wanted but didn't touch her.

And as he saw Georgia pass by, he was flabbergasted, in a good way.

He knew he had to talk to her and he did.

And man did he fall hard for her. He knew if he had to spend the rest of his life, it would be with Georgia. But little did he know that the woman he fell for was a sister-like figure to his biggest enemy.

He did everything for Georgia. Care for her, gift her flowers, everything a man could possibly can.

They met on a Sunday afternoon in mid-January as he walked up to her to return her scarf that flew away. He got nervous and backed out. He was shocked that he, a mafia leader backed out after hearing a girl say, "thank you" and smile as widely as she could.

He visited the park every afternoon to see if she was there and when Georgia noticed this, she went up to him. He had already made sure to know what flowers she liked and what kind of coffee she preferred.

He asked her out.

They dated.

All came crashing down when Greg Walter found out about this. Georgia was Greg's childhood friend's sister. After he had passed away, Georgia was under Greg's wing. And he made sure she never missed her brother. Georgia equally loved Greg. She meant a lot to him.

Greg was the head of the German Mafia. He grounded Georgia to his house.

They were rival families and if anything it only means blood. Greg and Victor were always each other's targets.

But what he didn't realize was that she was already pregnant with Victor's child.

Victor became desperate. He abducted Georgia from Greg's mansion, killing many people and almost his wife May.

All the while Teresa had no idea about this. She kept falling for Victor. She tried to make him fall for her but nothing worked.

Being abducted, Georgia didn't like it. She yelled and screamed at him but Victor was hell-bent on keeping her.

And Georgia, who was equally in love with him was quick to forgive him. All the while not knowing he was a married man.

Greg tried his best to search for Georgia but it was as if she was off the grid and came to terms with the fact that she was forever gone.

Victor and Georgia welcomed their child. A beautiful baby boy. They named him Andreas.

When Teresa grew suspicious of her husband, she followed him to a different city, only to see he had a son and he was in love with a different woman.

She grew outrageous.

She plotted against him. Drugging him, she took advantage of him. Sure enough, Victor was enraged about it. But he couldn't even tell anything because Teresa had lost it all. She had threatened to kill the woman he loved and his child.

If he wanted he could take Teresa out then and there but he knew his father and Teresa's father were respected in the mafia community and would get to the bottom of it. Despite having handed the empire to victor, his father was still very much in power and could even kill his son to maintain his reputation and come out on top of the mafia world.

Victor knew better than to mess with Teresa.

Teresa played him. She played him bad.

Georgia's heart shattered when Teresa went to her and confronted Victor and her marriage. It was over for Georgia. She was going to go back to Greg.

She decide to step out of the safe place Victor kept them in to protect her and Teresa didn't wait a single moment to get her hands on them.

Andreas was just 10 when Teresa killed his mother in front of him. The kid couldn't take it and slip into depression.

And she with her father's help made sure Victor never found out about Georgia. She brought back Andreas with her.

What Andreas wasn't expecting was to have a half-brother, Elijah.

Even though Elijah was quick to accept him, Andreas was too traumatized to accept him. Victor cried in the pain of losing Georgia forever. He had a favor towards Andreas because he was the reminder of his lost love.

He tried finding her but she was gone. How can you find someone who doesn't exist anymore? He tried not to think about the worst but deep down he knew Teresa had killed her.

And with all this Teresa, decide to take her final step of revenge, setting the mafia families against each other.

She sent Greg Georgia's ashes and made it seem like Victor had killed him.

And that started the biggest war between two rival families.

Greg entered Victor's mansion and killed him but Victor didn't go down before protecting his children. And Teresa killed Greg. Stabbed him to death.

That day blood flowed like water. There was no stopping.

Teresa went into hiding. When Andreas turned sixteen, killed Teresa the same way she had killed his mother. In front of the young Elijah and abandoned him.

Little did they know the day Teresa killed Greg, May was on her way to give him a surprise. The couple had been trying for a child for years but had no luck.

As enthusiastically she ran into the house, only for everything to crumble down as she was welcomed to Greg's dead body.

She was shattered. Anyone would be.

After all the times, Greg desired a baby girl, he never saw her. He left them even before he could even meet his little girl. He had promised to proceed with her but couldn't.

That day, May decided to keep away from the mafia world. Her love story was a complete blood bath.

She made sure her daughter wouldn't have it.

Call her a cruel mother, but she had to take the right steps to keep her child away. She gave her daughter drugs to paralyze her lower body. She would have gone to any lengths to keep her daughter safe.

But Alas! Annalise caught the eye of Andreas. The one person, May had vowed to destroy.
