Mike walked out of the place with a victorious smirk on his face. He looked around the dark alleyway to make sure nobody was following him. Putting his hood back on, he began walking.
He wasn't a teen like his friends were. He was a spy.
He had been a newcomer to the school and had befriended Liam so he could keep an eye on Annalise. He had been paid heaps of money to keep an eye on the most vulnerable girl.
The people he worked for were definitely not normal nor was he. They were dangerous and Annalise had no clue what she was involved in.
Mike walked down the street, taking all the dark paths to hide and not draw any attention. After a long walk, he entered a small broken house, pushing the door with a loud groan and cursing under his breath.
He was annoyed at the fact that he still had to live in this rat trap when all he wanted was a proper roof over his head. He had been doing this shit for long enough for what? Only so he could have a proper meal and a roof over his head.
Yet, he lived in a place like this.
His side business was taking a lot of his money.
Selling and buying drugs is no joke. He had spent a fortune on it just so his sellers could keep his name clear of all the things he did.
It wasn't the first time he had overdosed or sold drugs to minors. He had been doing it for a long and he came here with the intention of selling drugs to the rich kids of Greenwood high he befriend Liam. One of the rich kids. Sadly, Liam neither did drugs and he had always consumed alcohol in a limited amount.
He had been in debt. So many debts that he was struggling to pay them off. He once had a nice life. A happy wife but his gambling addiction had brought him to the streets. The woman he loved left him. He wasn't particulate that old. He was in his early twenties and would definitely qualify as a teenager if looks could be deceiving.
One who lived by the laws of the country now did things that went totally against them. From a law-abiding citizen to a smuggler, spy, and cold-blooded killer.
He opens hissed fridge and pulls out a can. Taking a fork and opening the can, he dug into the gooey, messy brown mess. He winced as the food touched his tongue.
If he had to be real, it tasted like shit.
But he had no money to afford to eat in a fancy restaurant. With the debt he had, he could afford a fancy dinner for years.
He switched on the broken tv and stared at it not particularly interested in it. But when his phone rang, he dropped the food and answered.
There was only one person who could call him at this hour.
That was... May.
Andreas got back into the car and Anna stared at him. Looking at him, she knew she rather shut up than utter a single word. Not that she was interested in talking to him anyway.
He began driving. Annalise just looked out the window while fidgeting with her fingers. Her anxiety just increased as every minute passed by.
She gasped and looked down when Andreas placed his hands over hers while keeping his eyes straight ahead.
"Stop doing that. It is annoying." Is what he told her. Annalise looked down at her fingers which were now covered by his warm hand.
Andreas who got affected by the slightest thing was obviously triggered by her fumbling.
She sat down quietly looking out. The lush green trees looked beautiful. She closed her eyes partially and rested her head against the headrest and hummed a tune.
