Liam hissed as he dabbed the cotton onto his face.
The corner of his bottom lip had been slit open and his nose had been fixed but the bruises and the black eye were prominent.
He looked down on the counter, scramming through all the first aid he had dumped on it. Taking an antiseptic ointment, he opens the lid and squeezed a little bit of it on his finger, and applied the gel carefully onto his not-so-healed wounds.
His eyes were straight on the mirror as he tended to his wounds. He didn't care about how he looked, all he wanted was Annalise to be by his side.
He still couldn't forget how much of an animal Andreas was with Annalise.
Annalise didn't deserve such treatment.
In fact, she deserved all the happiness. She should be given each and everything for her sweet and selfless nature.
And Liam would do anything for it. He would do anything to see her happy and smiling. The smile on her face was worth millions. The happiness he received, seeing her happy was beyond measures. He would even get her the moon if that made her happy, but of course, it was just an expression.
His jaw clenched and his free hand balled into a fist as the image of Andreas manhandling Lise came crashing through.
He didn't like it.
He fucking hated it!
She was just like a delicate flower. She should be handled with care and gentleness. She wasn't a fucking rag doll that could be thrown or played with around. She was a human and most of all the most beautiful girl in this entire world.
He washed his hand and wiped his hands with a white hand towel. He placed his hand on either side of the mirror and gritted his teeth as a fresh wave of fury surged through him.
He hated himself for not being able to protect her. For not being strong enough to punch Andreas and disable him right that spot.
"Liam,"
When he heard the call, he shrugged his shoulder and sighed exiting the bathroom that was attached to his room, and made his way down the stairs.
Without giving his looks much of a thought, he walked straight to the dining room and sat down at the dinner table.
A loud gasped echoed the room and Liam met the eyes of his mother who gaped at him in disbelief. Her hands shook a bit as she, inch by inch, taking in the bloody face of her son.
"Liam," her voice was dipped in concern as she walked forward and rested the tray of kebabs on the table, and made her way to her only son.
"Goodness, Liam. What happened?" She asked as she scanned his face. All the cuts and bruises.
"Nothing mom." Liam dismisses it as his mother, Rita, cups his face and runs her thumb over the cut on his lips.
"I know you well. Please don't lie to me." She said peering down at him with motherly worry.
"I just got into a fight with a guy on my football team." Liam lied through his teeth, looking directly at Rita. He knew his mother paid much importance to eye contact and he did just that.
"Liam... just look at yourself." She said. He just nodded and pushed her hands away.
If it was any other time, he would have loved the attention he got from his mother but now, he was preoccupied with Lise. His sense was clouded at how he could find her. He wanted her by his side.
Without saying a word, Rita served Liam some food. She knew something was off. Liam wasn't the kid who picked fights.
Lost in his thoughts, he failed to notice the plate. "Liam," Rita called out, forcing him to look at his plate. He just nodded and picked up his fork.
