Weeks has gone by since the engagement announcement, Walter is very much happy with being engaged and Arturo is happy that Walter is happy. They starting planning their dream wedding and they decided to have a spring wedding next year, and their honeymoon will be in Japan. Arturo again bought Walter anything he wanted, even if it's expensive, all he wanted was to make Walter happy. Everything is going so well for them, all except for Lance, who is feeling like he's been punch in the gut.

Lance still hasn't told Marcy or even Walter about how he truly feels. The reason is that even though he was going to tell them the truth, but deep down, it would only hurt them even more if he does. So that's why he stayed quiet for a few weeks. Lance feels like he's being weak for chickening out, even though he never backed down for anything, but this time...he feel's like a big chicken.

Meanwhile, Joy Jenkins was at her desk, doing paperwork when her work phones starts ringing. She answer it.

Joy: Hello?

She gets a call from the bank saying that the agency started to actually lose a lot of money. Joy was confused by this? and said that she'll look into it now. She hanged up, feeling confused by this. Then, another call came in and this time it was the IRS, saying that the agency haven't payed their taxes or payments in like months. Joy again will looked into this. She hanged up again feeling what is happening.

Joy went back and began to look at the books to see what's going on here? As she reviewed the books of not only the agency, but the books of other banks, and other companies that allied with them. Once she start doing this, she realized there was A LOT of money missing. There was over $60,000 missing and she thinks someone stole it all made of forge checks. She began to see that they were discrepancies. And began to suspect that there was embezzlement going on.

She called in Lance Sterling and he came in fast like he always does. She told him about what's going on here? and showed him the financial records ask him to looked into it and see who's responsible? Lance agreed and left her office to start his investigation of where that money went?

Lance interviewed a lot of people and called the banks, companies, and the IRS to see how long or how much the money went. He also looked into the books and financial records that Joy give to him. He was shocked that a lot of money was missing! But who? He also checked the forge checks as well and was shocked to find out that this Arturo's signature! Why was Arturo signing forge checks? He has to find out why?

He looked into all the documents and more financial papers and he find's that there are bunch of checks filled with hundreds or thousands of dollars on it and all signed by Arturo Alvarez. Arturo was stealing not only the agency's money, but from the banks, and other companies that the agency allied with, and even Walter's own money, in which made Lance fuming with anger. He also found out that the engagement ring he bought for Walter, turns out he borrowed money from his friends and coworkers, saying that he need's it for his sick friend, (which it was all a lie), and he keeps the money, and bought this ring with the company credit card. So he basically ripped everyone off, stole their money, and using company funds to buy the ring. He find's Arturo's record and document's about his background and what he find's made him shook him to his core.

He find's out that Arturo has a history of embezzlement and stealing from other companies. 2 years ago, Arturo was caught stealing money from his clients when he used to work as a lawyer. But they settle out of court and was never charged. He even stole money from his friends, coworkers, and even his own parents by forging their signature's on checks so he could get money. He also has a history of being a pathological liar. He lied about everything. To his shock, he lied about both his parents passed away, they didn't. They're currently living in Mexico and hasn't spoken to him in years.

He called his parents in Mexico and found out that they disowned him because they caught him stealing money from them. They also told him years ago, Arturo used to have a girlfriend whom he loves a lot. But she broke up him because he became very obsessed and very controlling of her. She filed an restraining order on him due to stalking her. He also find's out that the ranch that Arturo's family had, It's not their ranch, it was a friend of Arturo's. He pretended it was his just to impressed others and didn't even ask his friend permission to borrowed it. He's just basically trespassing into his friend's ranch for his own need. After finding out more about Arturo's secret life, Lance starts to worried about Walter. He should warned him who he's marrying to? he hopes he's not too late?
