Archer's POV:

"Care to explain why this is in your house?" I said crossing my arms. I watched his eyes widen. I grabbed him by his collar staring into his eyes, "Where is Y/N, Milo..." I heard a chair behind me move, making me move my attention towards it. I watched whoever was in the chair run out the front door. I shot my eyes back at Milo, "That was them wasn't it!?" He looked at me in fear, I threw him down and kicked his gut, "This isn't over, Harrison! By the end of the day, you're going to be dead!" I ran out of the Mcdaniel's looking around, seeing the person running away. I ran after them. After a while, I noticed them not being able to run much longer, making it easier to catch up. They finally tripped landing on their side. I walked over to see Muffin, holding their leg in pain. They looked at me in fear trying to catch their breath. I got on one knee sitting Muffin up. "Why did you run..?" I asked staring. "I was afraid...You're really intimidating..." I sighed nodding. It was silent for a while. "Are you going to stay with Milo?" I asked. They looked up at me nodding, "Unless you want me back home..." I nodded looking away, it wasn't that I didn't want them to stay...I just can't bare to put them through this again. I sighed looking back at Muffin, "Just...Stay out of trouble." I shrugged walking away. I heard them scoff, "That's it? That's all you have to say?" I looked back, "What do you want me to say..?" They slowly got up, "Asking if I was okay would be nice! And while you're here, I would appreciate it if you just tried to explain what's going on right now!" "Y/N please, I-" "No!" They interrupted me. "You don't get to talk right now!" I stood there staring at them. "I want to know why you've been avoiding me. You obviously care about me, but yet...You don't want to be anywhere near me." I shook my head. "That isn't true. I would love to be with you while I stress and go through my pain and troubling. My weight is just too much for you to handle. Please understand that I just need time. Milo will take care of you, and I'll take care of everyone back home." I sighed walking away, back to my car. I felt arms wrap around me causing me to stop. I stood there while Muffin held onto me. "Take as long as you need..." They said. I nodded looking at the dark sky.

Milo's POV:

I held my gut in pain...I heard Archer's footsteps walk in, and came towards me. He knelt down on the floor and reached out for me, causing me to flinch pushing him away. He sighed, "I'm sorry for kicking you...I was just feeling...What is the word...I felt like you were trying to take Y/N from me...So I was being...Overprotective?" I nodded slowly, "I-It's okay...Sorry for making you worry..." He picked me up and smiled. "I didn't hurt you that bad right?" I shook my head, "I don't think so..." He nodded, "I'll take you back home then..." He walked outside unlocking his car until he got a call. "Fuck...Who in the world could this be..?" He groaned getting his phone out of his pocket, "What? I'm a little-" He stopped listening, "Okay...I'll be over..." He hung up, rushing to the car. "W-What's wrong?" I asked nervously. He set me in the passenger seat. "We need to go. Now." He started the car rushing off. "W-Where are we going!?" I asked nervously. "Somewhere I hoped I'd never have to step foot into again..." I looked at him in fear, "P-Prison..?"

Flashback:

Young Archer sat next to his mother, watching a princess movie. "Mommy..?" Archer asked, "Yes, Sweetie?" He looked up at her, "Why did you marry Daddy?" She smiled, "Because I love him, of course!" "Because he's strong..?" She shook her head, "No, Archey, But it's great for a man to be strong!" "B-Because...You think he's handsome?" She smiled, "Oh no, no. Nothing like that." "Then...Why? What was he like when you met?" He asked confused. "Well...He was very quiet, even subdued in mannerism...But there was a fire inside him. He wasn't the strongest, the smartest, or the most handsome...But he was a real good man. Talented...He was incredibly determined and worked hard for what he wanted...And he wanted to marry me. The more he was driven away by grandpa, the more determined he was in being with me...And I...Fell in love with that quiet and resolute man..." "I didn't know Daddy was like that!" She smiled, "Daddy's awesome isn't he?" He nodded frowning, "I wish Daddy is home more often though...It's lonelier without him." "Sweetie...Daddy works hard so we can live comfortably, so I am free to stay home and take care of you like this...So please...don't resent your father. When you grow up, maybe you'll understand." "I wanna grow up to become a man like Daddy! That way I can protect Mommy and everyone else!"

Archer's POV:

"I fucking hate you!" I heard Lottie scream at the top of her lungs. I stared at her behind the bars. "If I have to go with you, I'd rather rot in this prison. Leave me alone, like you've always done. Why the fuck do you suddenly care now!?" ...Ah. Like father, like son. That was the worst fucking wish... "Lottie...Please-" "The last thing I want to hear is your voice! Just go away!" I sighed turning to the officer. "Why is she here again..?" "Aggravated assault on her soon-to-be ex-husband." I felt my eyes widen, "Y-You're going through a divorce..?" "Like you care about what's happening to me and Zane. You can't even be there for your own partner. The only thing you care about is your stupid job, and you don't even talk about that." "Lottie...I have work guidelines...There are a lot of things I can't tell you...You know what I do is dangerous..." "I don't care. You never tell me anything beyond that. If it's so dangerous that you can't be with your own family, then quit your job and come back home." "It's...not that simple. It's a job only a few people can do-" "Then let those people do it. What's more important to you, your family or your fucking job?" It was silent for a while. "Is it the money?" "That's not-" "I hate you. Don't even bother coming back." she said facing the other direction.
