Lacey's POV:

I don't really remember what happened. The doctors said I got in a vehicular accident and hit my head hard on the dashboard, suffering severe head trauma. The airbag didn't go off; it was a miracle that I was alive. The police officers couldn't find much information about who I was or wanted to be. They said the system was messed up for my file. All they knew was my name, I graduated high school, and that I owned a bakery. I decided to go back to college. A bakery seemed fun, but I wanted to do something else. This was like a chance to fix what I did wrong in my last life. If you can even count it that. I decided to take college. Even if I apparently already did. I wanted to be a therapist. A social therapist to be exact. I wanted to help people who were suffering and struggling. I took classes studying and taking notes. On my first day, I sat alone at a table in the back of the room. I saw hateful words and other things written on that table. Making me feel unsafe. A little after the class started, a guy came in and sat next to me. Since there we no desk left to sit at. "Hey...Are you new?" he asked, looking at me smiling. I nodded looking at him. He smiled at me. His name was Al Tanner. He was a drop-in, meaning he dropped out of college, and just dropped into classes. He was taking this class just to see if he could help people out better in his life. We spent that semester going to parties and helping me study for my tests. The college gave us a break for fall because of all of our exams, and we spent them going out and having fun. We went and watched movies, ate out, and walked in the parks. We went to this bar, and we were having fun, everyone was doing their own thing. This person came up to me in the middle of our small date and claimed to know me. Maybe the old me knew them...But I didn't. I asked them to go away, and they eventually did, after Al made them. He sat down looking at me, "Are you okay?" I smiled, "Yes...I'll be alright." I smiled. He shook his head, "Are you currently okay?" I smiled looking into his eyes, "As long as you'll be with me." He smiled holding my hand, "As long as you're okay." I smiled, getting closer to his face and getting closer. I looked to the side, seeing a guy fall to his knees, the other one had a knife. I screamed in pure fear, feeling everything rush back to me. Y/n...Raven...The stab wound...A car crash? Was that supposed to be some sort of cover-up? Raven- Archer. He stabbed me. He tried to...Kill me. How long have I been...Did I...Was I...Dead? I felt Al grab my hand and drag me outside. I felt the autumn rain come down from the clouds. "C'mon, Lacey. We'll get out of here before it gets messier." He tried to bring me to the car, but I didn't move. "...Lacey..?" He asked looking at me nervously. "...Al...Everything I did was wrong...I wasn't...In a car accident..." Al stood up straight. "Did...You lie to me?" I looked at him in fear. I knew I wasn't lying. But what if this is a dream...No...This seems too real to be...It can't... He took my hand in his. I flinch. "You have to breathe," he says gently. "You're going to faint." "How can I breathe? How could he?" My eyes blur with tears. "Hey...Can you please tell me what's bugging you..?" He asked wiping the tears from my eyes." I took a deep breath, still feeling tears go down my face. "The hospital said I was in a car accident...But I remember it...I wasn't even near a car...Ever since that...Guy did that to the other one...I remembered everything that happened before the accident...That guy..." He looked down at me, "What about him, Lacey?" I looked up at him nervously, "He tried to..." My voice trailed off. "Lacey, what did he do?" I looked at him nervously. "He tried to kill me... He stabbed me where that mark on my stomach is..." I said nervously. His eyes widened slightly. "This...Isn't making any sense. If he stabbed you, there wouldn't be any saving from that. None at all." I nodded. "I don't know what happened...Just when I woke up, I was surrounded by people I didn't know...And the people I did know..." I looked down frowning, "I didn't know where they were."   He stared at me. Watching the rain poor on me. "C'mon...Let's get out of the rain." He said bringing me to the car. He unlocked the car and got me in the passenger. He reached in my pocket and looked through my phone. "..Do you remember who this is?" He asked showing me someone in my messages. I slowly nodded. "That is... Technically was, my boyfriend." I watched him start to type. I stared, "What are you typing..?" He looked over. "I'm pretending to be your family member, trying to see how they are doing." I nodded watching. I felt goosebumps watching them type Al a response back. -"I'm alright. Took a year or two but I moved on. I'm doing much better now." I felt my heart drop. "He..Moved on.." Al looked at me, "Did you...still wanna be with him..?" I looked at him. "N-No it isn't like that! I just..." I felt tears rush down my face. He was supposed to be the one... Al pulled me closer, comforting me. I didn't want to be forgotten...
