...And My New Life As Monster Girl.
Ian floats through the void as naked as the day he was born, It's Just a Burning Memory being the only thing in his mind right now. A blank, utterly lifeless and drooling expression present on his face. Technically, he is lifeless but he can't possibly know that. Yet, he somehow knows that in his bones, he is dead. He just can't focus enough. Suddenly, a spark of his consciousness reignites.'Must...get...out!' his own voice's screams sounded faintly in his head, despite not being able to even think.
A light grows brighter and brighter, eventually dominating the darkness. And then darkness came in a flash. This time, however, he feels wet and floating through lukewarm liquid mush, his eyes are closed and he is curled up in a fetal position. Very cozy, to be honest. It's warm, peaceful and relaxing. The biggest difference is that he is fully aware of his situation.'What the...? Where the hell am I?' he thinks to himself, unmoving. Even submerged in this weird liquid, he felt no need to breath. The comfort he feels is enough to make him want to stay forever and let the warmth engulf him and be reduced into a vegetable.
That was the plan, until he felt a sharp pain in his lungs. Suddenly, he was drowning! His body twitches as the liquid suddenly feels constricting. He starts thrashing around, desperate to free himself. Finding nothing, he forcefully swims through the jelly. The mushy feeling yielded easily enough with some effort and he even feels the world around him shake slightly. He doesn't care and continues to swim through his jelly prison so he can survive. Eventually, he hits a soft membranous barrier. Kinda feels like a frog egg. He claws through it with concerning difficulty. His consciousness starts to slip once more but desperation and the innate need to survive fuels him for a last burst of strength.
Just as he was about to slip back into darkness ab for the first time since he regains awareness, he finds light and the cold air as the jelly around him rushes through the hole he made. He tears the opening wider and he fell through, roughly landing on the hard and weird ground while coughing out the fluid he accidentally inhaled in between gasps of air. It sucks ass but he was grateful anyway. It took him a few minutes of coughing and feeling his body quake before he finally opens his eyes but still too tired to stand up. Despite this, his curiosity to know where he was and what was happening overpowers his exhaustion. The first thing he sees is the grayish but not stony ground. He looks around notices that despite being very dark with the exception of some faint sources of light, he could see perfectly well, although in shades of purple and dark. He finds the ground covered something like candle wax, only more moist. He also spots crystals emitting static electricity.
His head swivels to the right and he saw the ugliest motherfucker ever. It was center and bottom heavy and bears heavy resemblance to the brooding mawlek from Hollow Knight, although this one became thinner as it gets taller and it had a more proper but still ugly head, unlike the said fictional creature that looks more like an eldritch equivalent of a jar. Its mouth was framed by a circular mouth filled with rows and rows of razor sharp teeth, eight insect eyes, scythes for hands and four pairs of simple insect legs that seem too small to lift the massive girth of this creature yet somehow managing anyway. It was also covered in chitin that she couldn't tell the color of, due to her night vision. The beast was probably four, maybe five meters tall?
Ian's eyes widened and he tries to jump back while screaming in terror, only to fail at both things. His 'jump' was more like a pathetic attempt to spring up from a bed and his 'scream' was more like a raspy wheeze. Luckily though, it doesn't seem to notice him.
Recognition suddenly flashes through its face as it flinches and looks at Ian appraisingly."Hm? What is this?" Ian could hear a voice, sounding like If Melzargard had a female voice, in his head and notices the growing disappointment. As the monster moves towards him, Ian instinctively tries to move but find himself unable to. It was as if some incomprehensibly powerful presence that demands your full respect was commanding him to stay still. Then the monster grabs with its scythe blades and raises him to its face. The action didn't contain any hostility but curious and was actually quite gentle. Then, without warning, it stabbed him in the shoulder and pins him to the ground in the same motion.
