..., New Power Gem And Parenthood!

Ian woke up to a bright new day. His body felt great and not as sensitive as it was last night after a harrowing but satisfying experience. Still quite sensitive but not as much. He inspected himself and saw his parts that normally had chitin but lost upon molting were already regrowing the lost armor. Not quite there yet. The last thing he checked on himself was his injury, which was completely healed with no scars. Stretching himself made his insides feel better.

The next thing he did was gurgle his mouth before drinking to soothe his dry throat. His next task was to actually turn his other deer skin into a viable piece of clothing. He draped it over himself, trying to tell where holes for his arms and tail. Taking some moments to drape it over to find out its position when he wears it. Eventually, he finds it. He tears a hole and slides an arm through before using that hand to tear a hole for his other hand, which he slides through. Now for his tail, easy now that he doesn't have to be careful to keep his deer cloak on. The tail slides through while the the cloak is not rattled by it. His tail curls around his waist, acting as his belt. Then he notices that his new cloak extends well past his feet. He cuts off enough so that the cloak only reaches past the middle of his leg. He moves his cloak's deer head out of the way, finally ready to start the day. And to start the day, he starts hunting.

He ate some wolpertingers cooked, jackalopes raw which proved to pointless since they were basically budget decrease wolpertingers, a whole eikþyrnir, those beaver-crocs raw for their traits and powers. Throughout his hunt, he felt two things off. The first and more noticeable and certain was his size. He had grown! He was very close to 5 feet now. The second and more complicated was that as he swallowed food he felt a faint, grainy but pleasant feeling moving below his stomach. It was stronger when he ate raw but still faint. Deciding that he could do with this amount of food and couldn't handle the weirdness, he finished his hunting early and drank some water."I feel like it would be better if you ate things raw. I don't know, just saying." Ian heard Captain Ian Sparrow's voice from the front of his mind.

He decides that he would humor his Chimera instincts and eat things raw. Maybe it would help him find out what's up with that grainy flow faster but for now, he'd best be on his way, seems like he woke up later than the other days he's had on this world. He'd better be on his way and this time, hopefully, find a river on his way so that he can meet that gorilla to beat it and take its gem for himself. He's certain that if a mountain had a dragon head carved on its side, then there is most likely a true dragon, a dragon that not only has power worthy of being called a dragon lord but the intelligence to use its power for its own interests. He'd need all the striking power and defense-shattering strength for himself.

With a 'plan' of action made, Ian starts his journey for a river, keeping track of his way home by marking the trees with arrows pointing to the next tree towards his cave.

With the power of a spider fueling his legs, Ian jumped high in the air and above the treetops, landing on a random tree. He could see his cave from here and the mountain all the way to the horizon. Ian was excited to finally be on his way, now that his leg is all healed. He dropped back down to the ground and shuddered a little at the tingle his foot fell, still a little sensitive from molting. With a pep in his step, Ian excitedly walks towards the mountain, confident that anything that's not the gorilla would need to ambush him to kill him.

He walked for two more hours with the same energy when he realized that he was not tired one single bit. Ian smiles at this implication. Seems like his molt gave him more things than a belt and eye candies. Finally, after another half an hour, he finds a river."That gorilla only came after I drank some water from a river. So, that should mean I have to drink more river water to summon this guy."
