Ian awoke at night at the feeling of wetness, wriggling and the sound of saurian squealing and mewing with reverb. He blinked the sleep off and saw five chibi versions of the creature he designed earlier, all covered in dirt that stuck to them through egg fluids. Ian sighed and smiled a sad one at the seemingly crying...pups? Larvae? He'll just call them hatchlings. As soon as he thought of speaking soothing words at them, they all stopped and looked at him...or her? Nah, Ian may be a biological girl and an actual mother, but he'll always be a man, dick or no dick.
Anyway, he only intended to speak soothing words to them and hasn't even opened his mouth yet but they acted as if he already spoke the words. They grew happy and curled into him while licking him with their long and thin tongue. How could this be? How did they know his words before he has the chance to use his vocal chord?"They're all connected to you, mate." Captain Ian Sparrow answered with a husky, sly voice."Wot, eh?"
"Their mind are connected to each other's mind and your own. Most importantly, they obey you. You may be able to program the mind of your future brood to be able to feel these disgusting emotions like sadness, anger and empathy, but in the end, they obey your every command." that information left a bitter taste in Real Ian's mouth. He was always been a more hands-on type of guy. He likes it more if he did things himself. He also doesn't like being leader or boss of the operation unless faced with overwhelming evidence that he is the best for the position. At the moment, he has no need of servants so he loathes to have them, as he was one once. He can survive all on his own in the wild."That is, unless you are in danger. If that so happens, their protective instincts towards their queen, you, will override any command you made." Captain Ian Sparrow then took his leave.
Ian mulled over this new information."Damn, how am I gonna find a suitable home for you all? If you guys are gonna get more siblings that might number in the hundreds, how am I gonna keep you all fed? Where am I gonna house you all?" his five hatchlings just tilted their head at him. Ian chuckled with love."You guys are adorable, even if you have all sorts of sharp things attached to you all." that came out without any thought, at all. The hatchlings glomped him while licking his face. Ian just lets them do their thing until they stopped. He also noticed that even though they hatched probably a few hours ago, they were already the the size of toddler puppies."Damn, you guys grow up fast. I bet you'll grow faster with food." the hatchlings grinned and their tail started wagging. Ian went out of his burrow and then paused as a realization hits him. He looks back at the burrow and sees the hatchlings looking at him expectantly.
He smiled when he figured out how to give them a better home with him."Of course! I'll create rooms underground meant to house them and probably make a nursery. I'll design and make worker drones to do the menial labor of maintaining my new...hive...yeah, a hive." as he rambles to himself, he carries the crab he killed earlier and brought it to the entrance of the burrow. The hatchlings smelled food and climbed out themselves and waited for Ian to finish creating an opening in the crab's shell. When Ian finished, his hatchlings started eating and he continues to monologue."And I'll also design digger drones to create the tunnels and rooms for the hive and for them specifically. Damn, I'm good! Seems like we're gonna do just fine." then Ian remembers one important detail which he immediately shudders at."Oh yeah, I have to actually get them through my girlie hole." he sighed as he resigned himself to his fate."Welp, a small price for stability, I guess." he doesn't think laying the eggs himself are a small price. He also realized that he'd need to think of parts that he might need for his worker drones and definitely for the diggers. He does not have the necessary parts needed to create an efficient digger.
He also realizes that he is getting quite hungry himself and decides to hunt some fish or crabs or any river dwellers. He creates a spear of lightning and readies himself to stab the water the moment any unfortunate creature gets close enough. He doesn't actually try to impale the creatures themselves but he intends to throw the spear at the area close to the creature to deliver a killing shock and make sure the unlucky creature can't dodge his grabby hands. He wants some kind of fish in particular. He's not really comfortable with gills on his sides close to his armpits. He'd rather have them on his neck and eating fish will help him and the future hive when traveling and hunting.
