Chapter 13: Mini Party \(^.^)/
We all began exiting the carnival. I held on tightly to the large stuffed cat as Stephanie held her small teddy bear up to her chest. The booth they went to was cheap and had the little mini stuffed animals. Pfft cheap carnival.
"Okay, so I'll drive you back home with my car and Niall you drop Stephanie off with her car and figure out a way to get home...or don't, either one," Harry shrugged. Stephanie and Niall laughed a bit. I followed Harry to his car. He opened the passenger door for me.
"Hop in West!" he smiled. I thanked him and climbed into the car. He closed the door and I rested the cat against the door. I layed my head on it and began to drift off.
I woke up the next morning to the sweet scent of pancakes and bacon. My mouth began to water at the scent and I rolled out of bed. That was when I realized...I had been in a bed. When I fell asleep I was in the car still. I feel bad for making Harry carry me all the time. I trudged down the stairs and saw Harry and his mom fixing breakfast.
"Morning sunshine!" Harry smiled.
"Good morning!" I smiled back. Harry handed me a plate and I turned and sat down on the table as he came and sat down next to me. I bit into some bacon and began to drench my pancakes in syrup.
"Well that's a lot of syrup," Harry chuckled
"There was a flood in Pancake Land," I shrugged, finishing up my bacon. I dug into my pancakes savouring every bite. I smiled, it tasted like happiness.
"Wow, you're smiling like you've never eaten pancakes before," he smiled
"It's been a while," I sighed
"Your mom didn't make pancakes huh?" he asked. I shook my head.
"She was always too drunk, and my dad was always too busy," I shrugged. Harry just looked at me. I couldn't tell what kind of emotion was in his eyes. Sadness? Sympathy? I would never be able to tell.
"I'm going to get you about five more pancakes then," he replied getting up. He brought back a stack of pancakes on a plate. I smiled at him.
"I hope you're helping me with this, I'll never be able to get it finished!" I laughed
"Isn't your dad worried about you by now? Or even possibly your mom?" Harry asked ignoring my little joke.
"Probably not," I shrugged, "I mean I'll see my dad on Moday, and he never really talks to my mom, so he probably thinks I'm still over there and I bet my mom doesn't even notice I'm gone."
"How do you not notice the absense of an entire person?" he asked shaking his head.
"How? Well here are some ideas, get drunk, don't care about them, never check on them, do whatever you can to avoid them, or be my mom," I shrugged.
"Okay, well on a higher note, the mini party is today!" Harry smiled
"Its going to be so fun!" I bounced in my seat excitedly.
"Okay, so I said I was going to pick out your clothes today and everything. I'm putting everything in the guest room and-"
"How come I couldn't sleep in the guest room?" I asked, cutting him off.
"There is no bed in the guest room," he replied
"Then why-"
"So anyway, if I put a curling iron in the room, curl your hair. A flat iron, flat iron it. You know, stuff like that. Now finish your break fast as I go do that," he cut me off, getting up from the table. I scarfed down the rest of the pancakes leaving some for Harry. I began to get up when Harry chared into the room happily.
