Chapter 3: Tacos

I shuffled down the stairs and waited on the couch for my mom. My stomach growled and I hoped there would be food wherever we were going. The car ride was super long and by the time we made it to the exhibit I could eat a cow.

"Mom!!! Is there going to be any food here??" I asked

"I don't know! Let's go!" she motioned me out of the car. I climbed out and moped all the way inside. Bad music was blaring and I was one hundred percent sure every piece of glass in the room was going to shatter.

"I think there's some food out back, but wait a little so we can look at the butterflies," as she was bent over looking at one I snuck around back and stopped suddenly when I came across an empty table. I groaned and plopped down on a patch of grass across from the table. I stared at the table for a little, but then turned around so the empty tabled wouldn't taunt me so much. I looked out to the long stretch of grass leading to an unknown forest. I sighed, this was going to be a looong night.

"Excuse me miss?" I felt someone tap on my shoulder. The voice sounded ridiculously familiar. I turned to find Harry.

"Honestly, how many times am I going to be at the same place at the same time as you?" I giggled

"I don't know! YOU tell ME!" he chuckled. He had a nice, calming laugh.

"Boy am I glad you're here! I would have been bored out of my SKULL if I didn't have someone to talk to!" I sighed

"Yeah, my mom thought it'd be fun to look at the butterflies," Harry shrugged

"My mom dragged me here too, except it was because it's my aunt's work," I replied

"Well your aunt is pretty creative," Harry smiled

"Gluing dead butterflies to wood isn't exactly my idea of creative," I replied

"Well when you say it THAT way-" my stomach growled, interrupting his sentence.

"Sorry," I sighed

"You must really be hungry," he smirked

"Well, if you couldn't tell!" I replied rolling my eyes

"Well how do some tacos sound to you?" he asked

"Mmm they sound great!" I closed my eyes

"Well I'm going to Taco Bell, what do you want?" he asked

"Well I've always wanted to try the Dorito Taco thing," I replied shrugging

"Okay one Dorito Taco thing it is! I'll be right back okay?" he began to get up

"Okay," I nodded watching him walk away. I sat there thinking the day over. So much happened in  one day. I kept thinking about the day, remembering little things and giggling at jokes I remembered. I don't know how long I was thinking for, but after a while I noticed how cold it was out. After that I noticed how cold I was. I shivered and hugged my knees to my chest wishing I had brought a jacket. As soon as I thought that I felt a warm jacket being thrown over my shoulders. I looked up to see Harry smiling at me. He had taken off his blazer and put it on my shoulders.

"Thanks," I smiled

"What are friends for?" he sat down next to me, handing me my taco. I was glad Harry was my friend. I don't think I'd ever had a better day in my life. I enjoyed being able to laugh at some GOOD jokes. Normally none of my friends can crack a joke.

"Mmm this taco is GOOD!" I widened my eyes in amazement. Harry chuckled and nodded.

"Pretty good, but not the best I've ever had," he replied
