Chapter 23: It's Over. Go Home.

So you're probably wondering how this all ended up, right? You may be hoping that Harry ran back home to me and we lived happily ever after, but that's not what happened. A short summary should do you some good.

I was coping well with the separation until I noticed that Harry never bothered to really call or text while on tour. I figured it was because he was so busy with all the work he was doing, but Stephanie told me that Niall texted her all the time! Well at least when he wasn't busy, which was frequent enough to strike up decent conversation with his girlfriend. I called and texted Harry and only got brief responses and half assed texts. I called up Louis instead. Louis responded so much differently than Harry. Louis asked me how I was doing, asked about school, asked about my relationship with my mom and how it was going in court (I had finally spoken up about the bad parenting). We talked for hours on end, when Monday turned into Tuesday and you could already hear the birds chirping. I finally brought up Harry in the most subtle way possible...if you consider blurting out his name and my concern for his carelessness subtle. Well do you remember how Harry had been so okay with it when I had sorta cheated on him with Louis? Well it turned out he was doing the same thing to me with some other girl. Louis explained that he thought Harry had broken up with me and would've told me this information sooner if he had known otherwise. I thanked him and called up Harry. I didn't scream or even get mad, I simply broke up with him. Maybe it was because I had lost my feelings for him anyway. Maybe it was because I had gained feelings for someone else....

I sat in my room quietly finishing up my math homework and listened to some music when I heard the doorbell ring. I looked up wondering who would be visiting me directly after school had finished. It couldn't have been Stephanie, she was out to Italy or Paris or some fancy place with her mom. I bolted downstairs, overwhelmed with curiosity. I opened the door slowly; curiousity killed the cat right? I was shocked to see Louis on the other side of the door. I was even more shocked to see a bouquet of flowers in his hand. I gasped.

"Louis!" I smiled. He held the flowers toward me.

"I missed you..." he smiled. I took the flowers and set them down on a stool next to the door. I lept forward and tossed my arms around him.

"Believe me I missed you too," I hugged him tight. I'm not sure what came over me, but I decided I'd be bold. I cupped his face and kissed him. His lips were so soft against mine and his body felt so warm and comforting.

"Wow...that was a nice greeting," he raised his eyebrows.

"Um...wanna come in?" I asked.

"Well uh, yeah I guess. I mean I was kinda hoping we could...I dunno like go on a date or something?" he smiled.

"Oh..oh I like that idea," I nodded.

"We could go out to the park!" he smiled.

"We could even walk! Let me just grab my sweater!" I shuffled through the downstairs closet and pulled out a sweater. We walked outside and I felt some water hit my eye. Then a couple more drops hit my arm.

"Aw man! Rain!" Louis held out his hands gesturing to the raindrops.

"Well we could order pizza," I suggested.

"Sounds great to me!" he smiled and nodded.

"I've got a few movies, we could watch them," I suggested as we walked inside.

"Ooh can I pick some out?" he asked with pleading eyes.

"Yeah, I'll go order the pizza," I giggled. I picked up the phone and called up the pizza place. I watched Louis shuffle through the movies as I explained what I wanted to the guy on the other end of the reciever. Louis was so cute. Every little thing about him. His hair, his face, his eyes, the little bit of stubble that lined his jaw and upper lip. Everything about him was wonderful. I finished up the order and hung up, setting the phone down gently. I tip toed up behind Louis and wrapped my arms around his torso.

"Hi," I whispered.

"Hi," he whispered back shifting his body so that I was now looking at his chest instead of his back. I set my head on his shoulder and shut my eyes.

"I'm so glad you're here.." I buried my face into his neck. There was a stretch of comfortable scilence until he spoke up.

"I know it's been weird...you know the stuff that's happened before, but can we be together. For real this time?" he asked.

"Louis, I'd really like that," I nodded.

And that's how it all ended really...I mean sure life didn't just end there and Louis and I didn't have the most perfect realtionship ever and end up getting married happily ever after, but that's a whole different story. For now, this is the happy ending, so let's keep it that way.
