Clarke's POV

I gave Bellamy the directions to my house and he pulled into the driveway. My mom didn't care about giving me curfews, as she worked mainly night shifts, but sometimes she covered both to bring in more money for the week and enough art supplies to be suffice for me.

I walked up the porch steps, Bellamy close behind me.

Why did he give me a ride home? I thought to myself, do I have feelings for him? No Clarke, you're being ridiculous. You don't have a crush on Bellamy Blake. I was so lost in thought that I miscounted the steps, tripping on the top one. I lost my balance and began to fall backwards, but Bellamy's hand was around my waist in a flash, steadying me.

"You okay, princess?" he whispered in my ear.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks." I turned to face him, blushing a deep red. I realized how small the space was between us, our lips only inches apart. I thought that he was leaning in, and my heart skipped a beat. I didn't want to fall for him. I didn't even know him.

"Um, Bellamy? I really have to get going. Thanks for the ride." I glanced at him once more before hurrying inside, leaving him on the steps in the pouring rain.

Sorry guys, reeeeally short chapter. I didn't want to add this part to the last chapter as I wanted that small Bellarke moment to be all by itself
