Chapter Four - Bonding with the bad boy

I was woken up by a loud knock on.. the window? I groan loudly and roll over, wishing nothing more then to fall back to a peaceful slumber. Who ever it is, really has some nerve to wake me up this early. The knocking gets louder, I throw the blankets off me and stammer towards the window.

I draw the curtains open to find my best friend since kindy, Ashley Hale, hanging from a branch. "A little help here."

"What the hell are you doing hanging from a tree branch at 5'oclock in the god damn morning?" I screech at her.

She lets out squeal before high fiving the ground, with her face. I sigh at her before running downstairs and out the door, surprised to see her already up and on her feet.

"Hi! I haven't seen you in ages, I've so happy to see you!" She pulls me into a bear hug, almost squeezing my insides out. "Yeah, I'm so happy to see me too!" I smirk at her.

She rolls her eyes at me and I chuckle at her. "So explain to me why you were hanging outside my window." I ask her. "And how did you get my new address? Oh my god, is there some weird website that tells people where I live??"

She laughs hysterically at me. "No, you psycho. Chris texted me it."

"What else did he text you?" I grin cheekily. Her cheeks flame red and I just laugh.

"I still can't believe your in-love with my brother."

"I am not!" She denies, but her cheeks flush again. I smile at her and invite her inside. Her eyes immediately land on a bag of Hershey's Kisses and she darts towards them. She's gone paranoid over sugar recently because her mother doesn't let her have any at her house.

I sprint over to the table, reaching the packet just before she does. "Nu-uh! Not until you tell me why you didn't just come through the door instead?"

"Fine fine." She stops, still eying the chocolate. "It was locked and I didn't want to wake you or your family up, Now give me the chocolate." She pouts.

"There's something else too." I smirk, sensing that she is definitely hiding something.

She sighs before shouting 'Look over there!' in attempt to distract me. Unfortunately for her, it doesn't work. "Okay! Okay. I wanted to see if you really were Zac Parkers neighbour. And maybe I was hoping to see him shirtless in the process.."

"Oh my god you're such a teenager." I shriek, handing the chocolates over to a drooling Ashley.

She smiles and scoffs about 20 down her throat moaning each time, yeah she really likes sugar at the moment.

I chuckle at her before I hear a loud crash coming from upstairs, which is weird because Chris isn't home, he probably partied too hard and crashed at his friends place, and my parents are at work. They started early today.

Ashley and I look at each other for a while before sprinting upstairs to my room to find Zac crouching on the floor, about to throw up.

He's definitely drunk.

Ashley squeals before running out the door. "Zac Parker is in your house! Uh, I'll get some water."

"Zac what are you doing in my room?" I ask, curiously.

"I just wanted-" He pauses mid-sentence, gagging. "-you to know that I'm sorry for snapping at you last night." He mumbles. "You remind me of.. someone who I was really close to." He chokes on the last sentence, tears flowing freely from his eyes.
