Chapter 17 - GTGF Situation - Part 2

"Okay, well i'll come over in 10. See ya then." Ashley laughs and hangs up. We had decided to see the Conjuring 2. I was actually pretty excited because i've never watched a horror movie on the big screen before. Horror movies don't usually scare me, but from looking at the trailer this one looks as if it might.

I get dressed up in a grey cropped t-shirt and leggings with a flannel and some light brown boots. I also grab my Chanel handbag that i bought the other day. It's probably the same price as everything in my wardrobe combined, but i really liked it.

I watch a makeup tutorial on 'Kylie Jenner Makeup' and decide to give it a shot. I'm no beauty youtuber or anything but I think i did alright.

"Skylar dear could you please take the wash- oh, are you going somewhere?" My mum bursts through my door and stares at my outfit and my makeup and raises an eyebrow.

"Who's the lucky dude?" She laughs. She is honestly so embarrassing. She tries to speak like, and i quote, a 'hip cool teen'. I can't help but giggle.

"No one mum, i'm going out with Ashley to the movies."

"Oh okay." she pauses, looks around my room and back at me again. "I thought you might of been going on a date with Zac or something." She adds and i burst out laughing. "Why on earth would i do that?"

"i don't know. You and Zac seem to have hit it of lately, and Rihanna said that Zac talks about you a lot."

Well that was definitly unexpected. Zac talks about me to his family?

"Oh really? What about?"

"Oh I don't know, but everyday he has something nice to say about you. I thought maybe he would've asked you out already or something.." She mumbles the last part.

"Has anyone seen my socks?" Josh says, bursting into my room, causing both of us to laugh.

"Have you checked outside on the washing line?" Mum rolls her eyes, smiling. Josh goes silent for a minute, probably realising just how dumb he was just then.

"Thanks love." He smiles and kisses mum.

Christ they can kiss for a long time.

"Ahem." I cough, which seems to make them realise that i'm standing right in front of them.

"Oh, sorry. You look nice Sky. Going on a date with Zac?" He smiles hopefully.

"No? Why does everyone assume that?"

"Well you to are pretty close, well from what your mother and Rihanna tell me."

I hear another pair of footsteps coming towards my room. "Mum, Josh. I'm going out with some friends." Chris bursts though my door and looks at my outfit. "Who's the guy? Where does he live? What's his name.. it's Zac isn't it. I knew it. You two are going to go on a date. then god knows what, maybe you'll marry and have kids, and then-"

"CHILL." I shout. "For the last time, i'm going to the movies with ASHLEY, not Zac, ASHLEY." I didn't realise a bloody family reunion was supposed to be happening in my room. "Now i would very much appreciate it if everyone kindly stepped out of my room."

"Someone's on her period." Chris muttered as he started to walk away. Oh no he didn't.

He turns around laughing, only to see the look I was giving him. "Uh, I mean.."

Suddenly the doorbell rings. "I'll get it!" I shout. "It'll be Ashley." I run downstairs and open the door, only to reveal.. Zac?

"Hey, can we talk?"

Chris walks past and stares at Zac. "Ah, speak of the devil and he shall appear." he smirks.

"Shut up Chris." I yell and grab Zac by the arm, dragging him up to my room and shutting the door, locking it just incase everyone decided to burst in again. "Sorry about that. Uh, what did you want to talk about?" I mumble. I could feel the sexual tension/awkwardness building between us.
